What does youth travel mean?

Youth travel refers to the youth travel alliance, which is often referred to as youth travel. Youth hostels provide short-term accommodation for tourists, and especially encourage young people to engage in outdoor activities and cultural exchanges. Youth hostels are usually not as formal as hotels and their prices are relatively low. They are one of the most commonly considered accommodation places for self-help travelers and backpackers with limited budgets. After more than ten years' development, youth hostels have grown from scratch in China, with nearly 65,438+050 hostels in major cities of 27 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions.

In order to further explore the international youth tourism market and attract more foreign youth to visit, study and exchange in China, Guangdong Provincial Tourism Bureau took the lead in introducing the concept of youth hostels to China in the summer of 1998, and established the first batch of youth hostels in Guangdong.

In the following two years, Guangdong made a series of preparations for promoting youth hostels: for example, sending a delegation to Europe for investigation; Strive for alliance support and send 9 backbones to youth hostels in different European countries for training; Invite nearly 80 high-level delegations from youth hostels in 25 countries and regions around the world to visit China; Translate and publish the book Charm Triangle, which introduces the development of world youth hostels, and so on.

1September, 1999, the first youth hostel association in China-Guangdong Youth Hostel Association (YHACHINAGD) was formally established. In June of the same year,165438+1October was approved by IYHF as its affiliated member, and Guangdong Youth Hostel Association was also the only representative organization of the organization in China.
