They are not as wonderful as ordinary national geological parks, and they are also different from the rich animals and plants in various national nature reserves. They have an "alternative" national mine (pit) park with the same name. Nanjing Tangshan Mine Park is one of them.

Several clearly visible users of abandoned quarrying codes on the south side of Tangshan, Nanjing were impressed. Before 20 17 and 12, there were only a few quarries left in Longquan quarry in Jiangning county. Its rebirth is entirely due to the pilot project of "Double Urban Renovation" (ecological restoration and urban restoration) in Nanjing and the acceptance of Tangshan National Tourism Resort.

At the beginning of the design, the local government set the goal of deepening Tangshan's history, humanities and mine culture based on the current terrain, making full use of the existing vegetation and mine resources in the region, and restoring its ecosystem and landscape characteristics through landscape elements such as wetlands, meadows and lake areas, hoping to make it a national urban double-repair pilot and a national mine restoration demonstration case.

Although the limestone rock wall after artificial mining is scarred and broken, after years of baptism, plants have quietly grown between the geological strata of the quarry, making the rock wall of the whole quarry look like a picturesque landscape picture, which also provides rich inspiration for the design team to re-plan and design these mines.

By combining the topography and hydrology of the site, the design team created a rich experience site based on the destroyed natural debris, including four different landscape functions, a strange Huaxi, a mining field and a Triassic Lake, as well as a restaurant and tea room and supporting services. The four ports on the original mountain are independent and unconnected with each other.

This unique condition makes each quarry have different functional orientation: the easternmost pit is deep and hidden, and it is positioned as a quiet and leisure hot spring hotel accessory facility; The westernmost end is wide and wide, and it is used in lively public places such as music festivals and campers. The two entrances in the middle become the experience area of park tour-Zanz Waterfall and Air Corridor.

According to the comprehensive evaluation of geological experts, the rock wall of Tangshan mountain damaged by quarrying, because of its special geological characteristics, even after reinforcement, can not completely rule out the safety hazards such as collapse and falling rocks in the future. Therefore, the design team conducted a variety of possibilities research on the tour route and mode of the landscape, and integrated safety, cost, experience, ecology and other factors, and finally designed the most reasonable and safest scheme.

When entering the park, people first come to the wetland lake area formed by natural confluence, and then they can reach the wetland meadow and Huaxi along the ramp. Enter the bottom of the first entrance through a "just visit", and then gradually experience the rough and steep rock wall of the former quarry along the steps. After many twists and turns, you can reach a platform overlooking the park, which is a relatively flat site formed by the waste stone slag accumulated in the old quarry. Then enter another adjacent entrance through the plank road, gradually descend to the bottom of the pit along the side wall, and get out of the pit to reach the mine field amusement park.

Minefield amusement park used to be a place where waste was piled up in quarries, and the original vegetation and hydrology have been completely destroyed. According to the site conditions, the design team, on the basis of restoring the hydrological ecology and strengthening the hillside, combined with rock climbing, slides, rope swinging, trampoline and other activities, formed a playground with mine characteristics.

Although Nanjing Tangshan Mine Park is a successful abandoned mine reconstruction project, we can't ignore the shock brought by these four huge pits. The design team deliberately did not restore these four obstacles too much, in order to warn us to have awe of nature. Even if we master more and more powerful engineering ability, we should realize that human power is still insignificant in front of nature.
