Can people aged 8/kloc-0 travel to Lhasa? What should I pay attention to?
Medical experts believe that due to the gradual deterioration of physical function, decreased immunity and ability to cope with special environment, the elderly are more likely to catch a cold, suffer from acute altitude sickness, and are not easy to treat. Therefore, the following categories of people, especially the elderly with such diseases, should not enter Tibet: patients with various organic heart diseases, obvious arrhythmia or resting heart rate greater than 100 beats/min, hypertension above the second stage, various blood diseases and cerebrovascular diseases; Chronic respiratory diseases, moderate or above obstructive pulmonary diseases, such as bronchial asthma, bronchiectasis, emphysema, active tuberculosis and pneumoconiosis; Patients with uncontrolled diabetes and hysteria, epilepsy and schizophrenia; Those who suffered from a bad cold and upper respiratory tract infection before entering Tibet and whose body temperature is above 38℃ or below 38℃ but have obvious systemic and respiratory symptoms should be suspended from entering the plateau until they are cured; Those who have been diagnosed as high altitude pulmonary edema, high altitude cerebral edema, high altitude hypertension, high altitude heart disease and high altitude polycythemia.
Before the elderly enter Tibet, they must go to the local hospital for a comprehensive physical examination and make sure that there are no obstacles before they can travel safely.
Prepare the corresponding drugs
Before you go to Tibet, you must prepare all kinds of conventional medicines for the elderly in case of emergency.
Because of the high altitude and low oxygen content in Tibet, young people may have some symptoms of physical discomfort even if they do not have altitude sickness after arriving in Tibet. Therefore, before going to Tibet, we must prepare regular medication for the elderly in case of emergency.
Drugs for preventing altitude sickness: Rhodiola; Supplementary energy: glucose; Conventional cold medicine: such as white plus black; Antidiarrheal drugs: such as berberine; Analgesics: such as painkillers and headache powder; Headache and heat-clearing drugs caused by mountain reaction: such as chrysanthemum tea, summer mulberry chrysanthemum and American ginseng granules; Enhance resistance: vitamin c; External medical supplies: gauze, bandage, band-aid, iodine, Yunnan Baiyao, essential balm, safflower oil.
The above items are not only for the elderly to travel, but also for the whole family to enter Tibet. These are essential drugs.
Countdown time to Tibet
A few days before entering Tibet, the old people must recharge their batteries and have a good rest.
Generally speaking, taking rhodiola three days before entering Tibet can greatly alleviate the symptoms of altitude sickness, while it is best for the elderly to take rhodiola one week or longer in advance, and it is recommended to take it with boiled water of brown sugar or glucose granules for one week to avoid altitude sickness.
After entering Tibet, adjust it at any time according to the situation.
When the elderly go to Tibet, it is best to go to Linzhi and Shannan, where the altitude is low, the vegetation is well covered and the oxygen is abundant.
People over the age of 60 are not recommended to enter Tibet. If the elderly are in good health, it is also recommended not to fly directly to Tibet, but to accompany their families to Tibet by train from Xining. Because of the high altitude, the elderly are prone to altitude sickness, not only lack of oxygen, but also tinnitus, dizziness, rapid heartbeat and other symptoms, and people with weak constitution will faint.
After arriving at the plateau, you should slow down, pay more attention to rest and reduce the burden on your heart. Old people need to take a nap in the hotel to adjust their physical condition. The plateau climate is dry, so people should drink more water. In Tibet, the temperature difference between morning and evening is large, so the elderly should pay attention to keep warm and change clothes in time to avoid catching a cold and having a fever. Once you have symptoms of cold and fever, you should stop traveling, treat on the spot immediately, or return to a relatively low altitude.
In addition, it is suggested that the elderly should go to Tibet, and it is best to go to Linzhi and Shannan first, where the altitude is low, the vegetation coverage is good and the oxygen is abundant. You can adapt there first. If you can't adapt in Linzhi and Shannan, I suggest you go back.
What should I do if I have symptoms of altitude sickness?
Under normal circumstances, you can take painkillers orally, boil water with the roots of "Rhodiola" and buy capsules of "Gaoyuanning".
When we walk from low altitude to high altitude, everyone will feel chest tightness, shortness of breath, difficulty breathing and other hypoxia symptoms to varying degrees. But that doesn't mean you can't adapt to the plateau. If you can protect yourself correctly, the above symptoms can generally be improved or disappeared after 1-2 days. If the elderly have these symptoms, don't panic, rest first and seek medical attention immediately to avoid serious consequences.
The above symptoms appear. Under normal circumstances, you can take painkillers orally and drink them with boiled water from the root of "Rhodiola". Of course, oxygen inhalation can temporarily relieve chest tightness, shortness of breath, dyspnea and other symptoms, especially those with severe symptoms of hypoxia, who should rest immediately, supplemented by oxygen inhalation and timely medication. However, after stopping oxygen inhalation, the symptoms will reappear and the time to adapt to the plateau will be further delayed. So if the symptoms are not serious, it is best not to take oxygen, which can make you adapt to the plateau climate faster.
