Eco-tourism in Chenjia Town

After ten years of ecological restoration, Tan Wetland Park is mainly devoted to the restoration of wetland service function and structural optimization and reconstruction of 6.5 square kilometers of constructed wetland between 92-98 dikes in Chongming Dongtan, actively exploring a win-win sustainable development model of nature protection and economic development, establishing an international ecological demonstration zone for wetland protection and rational utilization, providing a platform for nature protection, scientific research, popular science education, eco-tourism and leisure vacation, creating a healthy lifestyle facing the world and the future, and meeting people's material needs.

The park has beautiful scenery, fresh air and clean water quality, and all environmental indicators have reached the national first-class and second-class (first-class) level. The park is located in an internationally important wetland recognized by Ramsar Convention, and it is also an important station and habitat for migratory birds in the Asia-Pacific region. Every autumn and winter, a large number of migratory birds come here to fatten up for the winter. In addition, the park is also an important habitat for the wild population of Chinese alligator, a national first-class protected animal.
