Malaysia Travel Notes: Malaysia Travel Guide

There are many things to pay attention to when traveling to Malaysia. Bian Xiao is here to talk with you about some matters needing attention in traveling to Malaysia, and some tips about Malaysia, which are just suitable for National Day.

Air ticket

From Shenzhen to Langkawi, I took AirAsia and transferred from Kuala Lumpur to Langkawi. The plane ticket was booked one month in advance, and the whole journey lasted for more than 1 people in four stages. Here's a few more words about AirAsia:

1. The boarding route of AirAsia should be set in advance, but sometimes there will be a promotion one month before departure.

2. airasia does not include luggage and plane meals, so it needs to be purchased separately. Generally, the luggage on the plane is less than 21 inches and the weight is less than 7KG. If you are overweight, you must check your luggage. You can buy it online in advance, which is cheaper than the airport.

3. The airport should be booked in advance. There will be many choices, as well as children's meals, but not many temporary purchases.

4. The plane is very cold. Blankets cost money, so bring your own thick clothes.

Accommodation

There are both cheap hotels and luxury hotels in Wei Lan, and four-star hotels are already seaside villas. We stayed for 5 nights, 4 nights in bellavista Hotel of Samsung (about 23 yuan/night) and 1 night in Rainbow Hotel of Four-star Junhua (about 12 yuan/night). At present, hotels in Langkawi have to pay government tax, which is RM 3 per night for three-star hotels and RM 5 per night for four-star hotels. It turns out that four stars is already very good.

e-visa

, the most convenient way to go to Malaysia is to apply for an e-visa, which is very convenient: 1. Log in online to apply for a visa; 2. Select Chinese as the language in the upper right corner; 3. To register an account with passport information, be sure to check that the information is correct; 4. After registering your account, log in, select the required visa (E ntri E visa), and upload and fill in one by one according to your passport, photos, flight information, etc. 6. Then according to E ntri, an e-visa will be generated almost immediately, and the e-visa will be reviewed, usually within one or two working days. 8. Just print the e-visa.

currency and power supply

RM is called "RM" for short. RM1=RMB. At present, domestic banks cannot exchange Malaysian ringgit, but can only exchange it locally in Malaysia or convert it into US dollars at home. All banks and currency exchange points in Malaysia accept RMB and US dollars, and all hotels and restaurants accept credit cards. But roadside stalls and tea shops need to be paid in Malaysian cash. It's not economical to exchange money in airport hotel, but it's more economical to go to the money exchange office in big shopping malls. RMB can be directly exchanged, but only hundred-dollar bills are accepted.

The voltage in Malaysia is 2-24V AC with a frequency of 5Hz. Malaysian sockets are different from those in China. They are British three hole socket, and there is a two-pin flat socket called "I I I". China's electrical plug can't be used directly, and a plug converter is needed.

Langkawi transportation

There is no public transportation on Langkawi Island, only taxis, no buses and other means. It is most suitable to drive in Langkawi. Car rental companies are generally located near airports and docks. The cheapest way to rent a car is at the airport and pier in Gua Town. On the right side of the airport lobby, there are many outlets that provide car rental services. It is recommended that you rent a car after comparing the prices. Usually, he will show you the model and quote you according to how many days you want to rent and where to return the car.

required documents: China driver's license.

reference: domestic cars are generally RM 5-6 per day, imported cars are RM 9-1 per day, and the deposit is RM 5. Rent a car (including insurance) is about RM 9/day, motorcycle is about RM 35/day and bicycle is about RM 1/day. With the arrival of the tourist season, the price will fluctuate.

car rental procedures: just register your passport and driver's license with a deposit of RM 5.

refueling: in langkawi, self-service refueling is generally needed. Go to the convenience store at the gas station and tell the cashier how many liters to add, which car it is, and stop in front of the number of the tanker. Then you can add your own gas gun. Add the amount of oil you buy and the tanker will stop automatically. Small cars consume about 1-2 cubic meters of oil every day. There is only one kind of oil at the gas station in Wei Lan, and the unified price is 1.9RM

Penang Transportation

Penang is not a big place, so you can basically walk to all the tourist attractions in George District, and you can also go to George Airport.

the taxi fare is about RM 45, and if you meet a black car, you can get to Georgetown about RM 4. You can take buses 41e and 12 and 41e to Haibin Expressway, which is faster, with RM 2.7. It takes about an hour to get off at Everbright Bank in George District.

You can choose a taxi from George District to the airport

Generally, RM 35 is enough.

communication

lease x Bao's mobile WIFI for 8 days ***171RMB. The signal is not particularly stable, which means less friends and more investment in the travel itself. I think it's good.

other precautions

sun protection must be SPF5. Girls can bring a long, brightly colored sunscreen suit, which can not only protect themselves from the sun, but also add a touch of bright color to the photos! Anti-mosquito spray, the mosquitoes in Penang are fine, and those in Langkawi are poisonous mosquitoes. It's a must, dear! Cold medicine, antipyretic medicine, anti-inflammatory medicine, gastrointestinal medicine, band-aid and so on. Although it has never been used, it is well prepared, especially in Southeast Asian countries, where it is hot outside and there is air conditioning inside, so it is easy to catch a cold. Bring more clothes for children, which is convenient to change and fun.
