In fact, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology has launched special rectification actions for two consecutive years against apps that handle users’ personal information in violation of regulations and set up obstacles to frequently harass users. ?So far, the government has completed technical inspections of 620,000 apps, ordered 2,234 illegal apps to make rectifications, publicly notified 500 apps, and removed 132 apps that failed to make rectifications or refused to make rectifications. ?
