Where is Ruili?

Ruili is located in western Yunnan Province and belongs to Dehong Dai and Jingpo Autonomous Prefecture. Ruili is the largest inland port in southwest China, an important jewelry distribution center, and one of the first batch of outstanding tourist cities in China. Ruili is also one of China's 17 international land port cities and the first stop for the China-Myanmar oil and gas pipeline to enter China.

Ruili City is located in the southwest of Dehong Dai and Jingpo Autonomous Prefecture in Yunnan Province. It is adjacent to Myanmar on three sides: northwest, southwest and southeast. It is located in the southward extension of the Gaoligong Mountains in the Hengduan Mountains. The terrain is higher in the northwest and lower in the southeast. It is 752 kilometers away from the provincial capital Kunming and 103 kilometers away from the state capital Mangshi by land. It is the end point of National Highway 320 from Shanghai in the east to Ruili in the west. It is the intersection of Kunming-Ruili Highway and China-India Highway. It is connected to Mangshi to the east, Longchuan County to the north, and connected to Myanmar's mountains and rivers to the northwest, southwest and southeast, with villages facing each other.

Ruili is rich in water resources, with a total volume of 10.313 billion cubic meters, a transit water volume of 9.64 billion cubic meters, and a self-produced water volume of 673 million cubic meters. The theoretical reserves of water energy are 72,000 kilowatts, and the exploitable installed capacity is about 25,000 kilowatts, accounting for 34.79% of the theoretical reserves. The potential for water energy development is huge.
