Li Shuangjiang and Meng Ge were in a teacher-student relationship. Meng Ge came to Li Shuangjiang many times to learn singing skills. Over time, the two fell in love. After the divorce, Li Shuangjiang married Meng Ge back home.

In 1989, 50-year-old Li Shuangjiang and 23-year-old Mengge went to climb Mount Laoshan. After reaching the top of the mountain, Li Shuangjiang suddenly shouted: God is my witness, I will marry Mengge home.

Mengge was shocked when she followed him, because she was not mentally prepared. Who knew Li Shuangjiang would say such a thing? At that time, she thought Li Shuangjiang was joking because he said it with a smile.

Every emotional progress between Li Shuangjiang and Mengge is somewhat related to famous mountains and rivers. Li Shuangjiang was born in Harbin in 1939. In the social environment at that time, it was pretty good to have enough to eat. Li Shuangjiang liked singing when he was a child, but his father tried his best to stop him because he felt that singing had no future and he would not be able to find a job when he grew up.

Li Shuangjiang did not care about this, he insisted on singing, and was admitted to the Central Conservatory of Music after graduating from high school. After graduation, he was assigned to work in the Xinjiang Opera Troupe.

At that time, many places in Xinjiang were pastoral areas with particularly difficult conditions, but their generation could endure hardships, and Li Shuangjiang was also prepared to take root in Xinjiang for a long time. Here, he met his first wife Ding Ying, who was good at dancing. The two were attracted by each other's talents and came together. They got married soon and had a son, Li He. Then they started their busy work again.

In the winter of 1969, Prince Sihanouk visited Xinjiang and heard Li Shuangjiang’s beautiful singing. After returning to Beijing, he mentioned Li Shuangjiang. Because of this opportunity, Li Shuangjiang was transferred back to Beijing, and his wife and son also went back with him.

After returning to Beijing, Li Shuangjiang's career developed very well. It may be because there was more work and less communication between the two, and their relationship was in crisis. In 1981, the two divorced and the son lived with his mother. At this time, Mengge was going to Beijing to further his studies with a musical dream in mind.

At that time, Li Shuangjiang was already a teacher in the music department of the Central Conservatory of Music. Mengge listened to one of Li Shuangjiang’s open classes under the introduction of a friend. In order to liven up the atmosphere, Li Shuangjiang asked his classmates to sing on the stage. Meng Ge was the first to sing. Li Shuangjiang was attracted by this bold and enthusiastic female classmate. Later, Meng Ge often came to listen to Li Shuangjiang's classes, and the two often exchanged music outside class. After getting along for a long time, they developed a relationship.

After Mengge graduated from school, he participated in the Youth Song Competition. Li Shuangjiang was one of the initiators of this competition. Mengge achieved a good ranking in the competition. After the competition, the leaders are going to take the students to Jiuzhaigou for a trip to relax.

Li Shuangjiang and Meng Ge were among them. Who knew they would encounter a mudslide on the first day they went there. Fortunately, Li Shuangjiang was a veteran, had experience, and could cook. They found a safe place to settle down, and Li Shuangjiang cooked for them. The students' respect for this teacher increased. When going down the mountain at night, Li Shuangjiang took the initiative to hold Mengge's hand.

Because of her special energy, Mengge had a deep memory of this trip. The weather that day was very cold, but her heart was very warm. By 1989, they traveled again, this time to Mount Laoshan. Mengge didn’t know that she was going to climb a mountain, so she wore high heels. At that time, the others were climbing fast and were in the front, while Li Shuangjiang and Meng Ge were behind.

When he reached a small peak, Li Shuangjiang was admiring the beautiful scenery and suddenly shouted: I want to marry Meng Ge. This is his official confession.

Li Shuangjiang also thought about it for a long time, because the two were so different. He even asked his old squad leader: Can I choose Mengge?
