Where is Sumadan?

Sumadang is located in Yaocai Village, Moudao Town, Lichuan City. It is a national AA-level scenic spot (planned AAAAA-level) founded by Zhenglong Yang, the founder of Lichuan Zhenglong Yang Tourism Development Co., Ltd., located on the south bank of the Yangtze River, at an altitude of 1.500 meters, 48 kilometers away from Lichuan city. On one side is the fantastic magnetic cave canyon, on the other side is the endless forest, and on the other side is Qiyue Mountain, the largest grassland in the south. The picturesque scenery such as Qilin Peak, Guishan Mountain, Sheshan Mountain and Luohan Mountain is like an affectionate girl, which makes people linger. Taxus chinensis, aquatic mangroves and other special plants, as well as small bridges, flowing water and birdsong, weave Sumatra into a poem, a painting and a song, which is extremely charming and memorable! Sumadang means "the place where tigers drink water" in Tujia language. It covers an area of 20 square kilometers and borders Wanzhou, Chongqing in the west. With dense forests, cool climate, quiet nature and unique customs, this scenic spot is an excellent place for people to relax, take a holiday and enjoy the cool. Every May, the azaleas, red azaleas, purple azaleas and white azaleas here compete to open, which is called "Azaleas Corridor".

Sumadang is a Tujia village with the most original ecological characteristics in China. The village has a population of less than 500 people, and nature endows her with unique primitiveness, naturalness, simplicity, strangeness and beauty. Sumadang, with its "ancient, beautiful, heroic, strange and secluded", has become a green ecological home of spiritual landscape between heaven and earth, a hotbed of life between heaven and earth, and can be called Eden in the forest.

Sumatra has four distinct seasons, with no severe cold in winter and no intense heat in summer. The annual average temperature is about 18℃, making it a unique natural air conditioner in midsummer. More than 10,000 mu of forest in Sumadang Scenic Area is basically in a sub-virgin forest state, and the vegetation has maintained diversity. Thousand-year-old rhododendron, full of red leaves, unique natural gardens and plant wonders. There are high-quality mineral water unique to quartz sand landform in the scenic area, and Suma Shenshui and Fenghuang Spring are well known.
