What if you can't travel because of the epidemic?

Legal analysis: the claim that the epidemic can't travel should be handled through consultation with the other party. If negotiation fails, relevant evidence can be retained to go to court for prosecution. Those who fail to perform their civil obligations due to force majeure shall not bear civil liability. If the travel contract cannot be fulfilled due to the epidemic situation, it belongs to force majeure; If the contract cannot be fulfilled due to the novel coronavirus epidemic, it may be exempted from liability in part or in whole. If force majeure occurs after the delay in performance, the parties concerned cannot be exempted from their responsibilities.

Legal basis: Article 180 of the Civil Law of People's Republic of China (PRC) shall not bear civil liability if it fails to perform its civil obligations due to force majeure. Where there are other provisions in the law, those provisions shall prevail.
