Where is Ulanmutong?

Ulanmutong is a scenic spot located in the southwest of Keshiketeng Banner, Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.

Ulan Butong Scenic Area was once the royal Mulan Paddock area of ??the Qing Dynasty. Wulan Butong is Mongolian and means red altar-shaped mountain in Chinese. It actually refers to the Big and Little Red Mountains and is part of Mulan Paddock. .

Wulanbutong Scenic Area is located at the northern foot of Saihanba, with undulating mountains in the east and central parts, many sand dunes in the northwest, and a maximum altitude of 1,869 meters. The scenic area is mainly composed of sandstone, gritstone, and mudstone from the Middle Ages and Tertiary Period, overlain by thin Quaternary sediments.
