When does the Japanese high school hike start?

in p>1882.

Japan's study trip originated from a school activity in 1882. Teachers of Tochigi No.1 Junior High School (now Tochigi Liyudugong High School) organized students to visit the Second Industrial Development Promotion Expo in Ueno, Tokyo. In 1883, the term "study trip" began to be used in similar activities held by Nagano Normal School (now Xinzhou University). In 1886, Tokyo Normal School launched a "long-distance hike", and students walked to Chiba Prefecture for several days to visit historical sites, collect biological data and other activities. The magazine published in the same year also officially named such activities as "study trip". This trip was recognized by the "Japan Study Travel Association" as the beginning of a real study tour in Japan. Later, Nagano Prefecture, Yamanashi Prefecture and other places also organized accommodation and travel activities such as observing the solar eclipse and climbing Mount Fuji, and study tours soon became popular throughout Japan.

In p>1958, the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, and Sports of Japan stipulated the study trip as a "school activity" in the Teaching Guidelines for Primary and Secondary Schools. In the same year, the Japanese began to manufacture Sunrise, a special train for studying in kanto region, and Hope, a special train for Kansai, and put them into use the following year. In 1959, Japan's Ministry of Education began to implement the subsidy policy for students from poor families to study and travel. In 1968, primary and secondary school students began to take the Shinkansen for study tours. In 1978, public high school students began to fly while studying. It can be said that the study tour with a history of more than 1 years is the most distinctive student education activity in Japanese primary and secondary schools, and it is also being used for reference and imitated by more and more countries in the world.
