It takes 7-10 working days to apply for a Bulgaria visa. Bulgaria visa types are divided into airport transit, transit, short-term, long-term, group visa, and visa on arrival. If you enter the country with a short-term visa, your period of stay cannot be extended or changed to a longer term, and you must reapply after leaving the country. Ordinary visas are processed through the Bulgarian Embassy in China and require an interview. The maximum length of stay is 90 days.

1. Chinese citizens holding passports from the Hong Kong and Macao Special Administrative Regions are exempted from applying for a visa when entering, exiting or transiting Bulgaria, but they can stay visa-free for a total of no more than 90 days every 6 months from the date of entry.

2. The visa-free policy is implemented for those holding valid Schengen visas and valid long-term residence visas and residence permits issued by Schengen countries. Relevant personnel need to pay attention to the validity period of the document and the limit on the number of entries, and must ensure that the stay does not exceed 3 months every 6 months.

3. According to the agreement between the governments of Bulgaria and China, it is free for Chinese citizens to apply for a Bulgarian visa.

4. Visa-related and consular service fees must be paid in cash at the visa office. After payment is completed, the visa office will issue an accurately filled receipt.

5. The visa office staff have the right to require applicants to provide other visa materials and conduct interviews with applicants.
