Jinkou Grand Canyon

Jinkou Grand Canyon of Dadu River starts from Wu Si River to Jinkou River in the west, starts from Wu Si River in Hanyuan County of Ya 'an City in the west, and ends in Jinkou River District of Leshan City in the east. The total length is 26 kilometers, the width of the valley bottom is generally 70 to 200 meters, and some areas are less than 50 meters. The maximum width of the shoulder of the valley is about 8 kilometers and the depth of the valley is 2600 meters.

The lowest elevation of the valley at the exit of the canyon is about 580 meters, and Dawa Mountain on the north bank of the canyon is more than 3222 meters above sea level, making the maximum valley depth of the canyon reach more than 2600 meters. It spans Jinkouhe District of Leshan City, Hanyuan County of Ya 'an City and Chuanganluo County of Liangshan Prefecture. Its continuous and complete canyon length and precipitous magnificence are rare in the world, and it can be compared with the Three Gorges of the Yangtze River and the Grand Canyon of Colorado in the United States, and is known as the "geological book, the valley".

200 1 was rated as a national geological park by the Ministry of Land and Resources, and it is one of the "Top Ten Most Beautiful Canyon" in China.

Dawashan

Dawashan National Wetland Park is located in Yongsheng Township, Jinkouhe District, southwest edge of Sichuan Basin, with a total area of 28 12.2 hectares.

In July 2009, Dawashan Wetland Park was approved as a provincial wetland park.

2011April included in the national wetland park pilot.

There are both alpine natural lakes and peat bogs in this area, with rich wetland landscape, developed aquatic life and diverse flora and fauna. It is the home of many birds, reptiles, mammals, amphibians and invertebrates. It has remarkable ecological and aesthetic values and is typical and representative in Sichuan Province.

In particular, the peat resources in this area are well preserved, which is rare in the same latitude and altitude areas.

Wutianchi

There is "Five Tianchi Lake" at the foot of Dongdawa Mountain. From south to north, there are big Tianchi, dry pond, small Tianchi, sorghum pond and fish pond, which are distributed in strips and connected into one.

It consists of five connected alpine natural lakes around the foot of Dawa Mountain, including Datianchi, Ganchi, Xiaotianchi, Gaoliangchi and Fish Pond, with an area of 26 10 hectare.

Among them, Fish Pond is the highest among the five Tianchi Lake, with an altitude of about 2,500 meters and an area of nearly 1 1,000 mu.

The depth of the fish pond is bottomless, and there are many and fat fish in the pond.

The largest lake among the five lakes is Datianchi, with an altitude of1850m. There are two rhinos and a mullet around the pool, and a large meadow is formed around it, with lush flowers and plants.

The water in the pool is delicate and beautiful, and it does not overflow all the year round. Especially there are no floating objects in the water all the year round. Even if there are broken branches and leaves, they will be taken away by birds.

"Wutianchi" is different from other alpine lakes. Its water looks black, but it looks very clear when scooped up.

Relevant geological experts said that these Tianchi lakes were probably formed after the earthquake.

Baixionggou

Baixionggou is a branch ditch on the north bank of Dadu River, a famous landscape of Jinkou Grand Canyon, located at the junction of Leshan Ya 'an.

The total length is about 7 kilometers.

Its canyon leads directly to the south foot of Dawa Mountain, and the scenery along the way is deep and quiet.

Between the cliffs with a height difference of nearly 1000 meters on both sides of the strait, vegetation hangs high, covering the sky; Hanging springs like practice, waterfalls splashing jade; Natural stone carvings with different shapes such as Buddha, god and beast abound.

Sitting Buddha in the Grand Canyon

The "sitting Buddha" at the lower mouth of the Dadu River Grand Canyon is as high as 1000 meters, just like Maitreya Buddha sitting high between the big and small fifteen-mile streams on the south bank of the Dadu River, guarding the peace of the canyon.

The lifelike and naive "tortoise stone" in the valley in front of the Buddha, like a turtle of hundreds of millions of years old, is a rare natural wonder in the Dadu River Grand Canyon.

"Lock One Ridge" of Lexi Highway

Lexi Highway, built during World War II, is the main traffic artery in War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression.

After the Guangdong-Han railway was cut off by the Japanese army, it was difficult for strategic materials transported by Yunnan-Myanmar highway to reach Chongqing.

In order to get through the most direct route from Sichuan to Myanmar, 1939 the state * * * decided to build the Lexi Highway connecting Sichuan and Kangkang in Xikang Province.

Suoyiling, which is more than 2,800 meters above sea level (it is foggy or snowy most of the time here, so the construction workers have to wear hemp fiber all the year round, hence the name "Suoyiling") is the section with the most arduous project, the worst climate and environment, the worst construction conditions, the most difficult food and medicine supply and the largest number of deaths, with 3,000 migrant workers killed or injured in this section alone.

When Lexi expressway opened to traffic, Zhao Zukang was filled with emotion. He personally wrote the tragic "Ragged Opening Xinjiang" monument, which was erected in Kuyiling from September 65438 to September 0942.
