Will Wenshan Dehou Reservoir become a tourist area in the future?

Yes.

1. Introduction

Dehou Reservoir is located in Matang Town, Wenshan City, Wenshan Zhuang and Miao Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan Province. It is a key large-scale water conservancy project listed in the "Twelfth Five-Year Plan" in Yunnan Province. Dehou Reservoir has a total storage capacity of 117 million cubic meters and an estimated total investment of 1.804 billion yuan. It mainly provides water supply for the Wenyanping urban agglomeration, agricultural irrigation, and industrial water supply. It also has comprehensive utilization functions such as flood control and ecological environment improvement.

Wenshan District was originally affiliated with Shenkeng Township of the original Taipei County. Later, Shenkeng Township was separated and independently established as Muzha Township and Jingmei Town. Finally, due to administrative reasons, Muzha and Jingmei were included in Taipei City , named "Wenshan District" after the merger.

During the Daoguang period, this area, like Shenkeng District in New Taipei City, was named Quanshan Fort because the mountain was shaped like a fist. Later, due to the inelegant name, it took the name "Wenshan Delicacy" during the Japanese colonial period. It was renamed Wenshan Fort.

2. Scale

After completion, the Dehou Reservoir will have an average annual water supply of 84.87 million cubic meters, which can solve the drinking water difficulties of 258,000 urban and rural residents, 92,800 acres of farmland irrigation and Matang industry The park and Pingyuan Agricultural Products Processing Park have water problems. At the same time, together with the Mudi River Reservoir and downstream embankment projects, they form a complete flood control engineering system in Wenshan City.
