Koh Samui is located in the southwest of the Gulf of Thailand, about 35 kilometers northeast of Surat Thani. Koh Samui is roughly circular, with a width of about 2 1km at the widest point, 25 km at the longest point and an average width of about 15km, surrounded by about 60 islands.

Koh Samui and these islands together constitute Muko Ang Thong National Park. The central part of the island is covered by almost uninhabited alpine forest (locally known as Kaupeng), with the highest point of 635 meters above sea level. The remaining lowlands are connected by a highway with a length of 5 1 km and several coastlines.

1, Paya Temple

Paya Temple, located on the small island next to the Giant Buddha Beach, is a famous landmark and scenic spot on Koh Samui. There is a golden Buddha statue in the temple, which is 12 meters high and magnificent. When you approach Koh Samui from any angle, you can see this tall Buddha statue at first sight.

2. A Gong family and a Ma history.

There are two representative stones on the coast of Koh Samui, namely, Agong Stone and Ama Stone, which are very famous scenic spots in Koh Samui. The shape of the stone is formed by natural weathering and looks like the genitals of men and women. A Gong Shi stands upright on the rock, while A Ma Shi is hidden in the rough sea and can only be clearly seen when the tide is low.
