If you are in go on road trip, what are the requirements for a driver's license?

Traveling and driving in the United States with a China driver's license: American driver's license is under the jurisdiction of each state. Laws vary from state to state.

You can use China driver's license (notarized translation+original). Bilingual is because personal information, such as names, cannot be separated from English:

Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, Colorado, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Mexico, new york, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania. States and regions such as Virginia, Washington, West Virginia, Wyoming and Washington, D.C. allow China tourists with China driver's licenses to legally drive in the United States for 30 days or more. China driver's license and English translation certificate should be brought with you when renting a car.

China driver's license is not available in the following states:

Arkansas, Connecticut, Hawaii, Indiana, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Texas, Vermont and Wisconsin do not recognize the legality of China's driver's license, and renting a car with China's driver's license in these States may even be impossible.
