Self-driving route from Shanghai to Nanjing
Let me tell you about my experience. 1. It should be said that there are not many express trains on the Shanghai-Nanjing expressway around 6:30 in the morning, but Shanghai-Nanjing is under road construction, and there are often only one or two lanes left for traffic, so we are sometimes fast and sometimes slow, rushing left and right. Fortunately, we saw almost no trucks (I don’t know if trucks are intentionally restricted from passing through Shanghai-Nanjing), but there were quite a few buses. However, everyone was quite polite. When they saw us trying to overtake, they would try to move aside. It's so touching~~~One thing to note is that due to road construction, there are very few rest areas along the way, so you have to refuel and go to the toilet before setting off on the road to avoid any problems. We almost couldn't walk because we didn't have enough fuel. Going down, the first rest area we encountered from Shanghai was Meicun. The rest areas in Suzhou, Wuxi, Changzhou, etc. had all been closed before. It took us almost 3 hours to drive to Nanjing, which should be considered normal. If the road conditions were better, it should be faster. The one-way fare is 125 yuan, including the Shanghai section and Jiangsu section. In addition, when driving in Nanjing, you have to get used to the way its road signs express themselves, which are slightly different from those in Shanghai, but in theory they are more detailed and complete than Shanghai's road signs. Nanjing is actually not a big city, so you will find that there are only a few main roads driving here and there, which are easy to identify. Just pay attention to one-way streets and the like. It is best to drive alone (preferably with higher skills) and read the map alone (preferably with a stronger sense of direction). However, when two people disagree, avoid quarreling. Even if they go the wrong way, they cannot blame each other. It’s a big deal. Let’s go around again. At most, people like me are allowed to raise their voices a little and speak in a harsh tone. Regarding parking, the cost is 8 yuan per hour in scenic spots and similar in urban areas. However, in some places, it is a one-time payment, such as tomorrow. The parking lot of Xiaoling Tomb costs 8 yuan to park as long as you like, so if you are in good physical condition, I suggest you park your car in the parking lot of Xiaoling Tomb of Ming Dynasty first, and then walk to other attractions, or ride an electric car there. 2. Regarding maps, tourist traffic maps are sold at various newsstands in Nanjing. They are very convenient and cost around 4 yuan a copy. 3. Regarding accommodation, we booked Jinjiang Inn Chaotian Palace in advance. It is hidden in a residential area, so there are not many parking spaces. We should pay attention to this. When booking a room, it is best to inform the front desk in advance. This is my first time staying at Jinjiang Inn. I fell in love with it right away. It is clean, tidy and bright. The standard room is 160/day. It has a single bed and a double bed. You can sleep however you want. The furniture is lined with solid wood. The goose-yellow bedsheets give it a warm feeling, and the bathroom is very, very clean, which is really nice. The buffet breakfast is 10 yuan per person. Although the variety is not as many as I thought, it is definitely enough for you, and the taste is very zan~~~ such as fried wontons, small siomai, and brown bread (you can get jam and butter as you like), Cake, fried noodles, rice cakes, corn, flower rolls, steamed buns, soy milk, porridge... Tel, 800-820-1838 4. According to our plan, we should go to Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum, Ming Xiaoling Tomb and Linggu Pagoda first. If you drive, you can take the Xiaolingwei exit of the Ring Road. Considering the time limit, we specially selected these three places and felt that this should be the most worth visiting. Regarding tickets, we recommend that you buy a joint ticket for 80 yuan, or buy separate tickets for 105 yuan. The tickets are quite affordable and can be kept as a souvenir. You can borrow bicycles, both single and double, for 15 yuan/hour. It seems there are also electric bicycles. I remember that these three places are indeed relatively classic. They should be regarded as must-visit places in Nanjing. Recommend~~~ One day we went to Yuejiang Tower, which is in the northwest of Nanjing City. The scenery is very good and we can see the Nanjing Yangtze River Bridge. We also went to the Presidential Palace, the ancient city wall and Jiming Temple, which are basically must-see attractions. 5. We mainly ate on Hunan Road and consumed n bowls of shaved ice. The clean-looking shaved ice was very thirst-quenching. As you can see in the photo, a bowl costs 5 yuan. You can usually find one within 20 steps. It is a chain operation. . There is also the soup dumplings at the end of Hunan Road. They are very famous. They cost 5 yuan for 8 pieces. They are small, but northerners may not be used to eating them because they are sweet, but I still like them~~~ 6. Nanjing is very hot, really hot... Please pay attention to prevent heatstroke and cool down. Mineral water is usually 1,5 or 2 yuan, which is quite reasonable. 7. There is a circle of small shops at the entrance of Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum, most of which sell souvenirs. One of the post offices allows you to send postcards~~~ 8. When we finished at the Presidential Palace, we hired a tour guide, because this place is different from the scenic area, and there are many things that you can't seem to understand just by looking at them. I remember that the price of a guide is 80 yuan (for less than 8 people). It seems to be more expensive for more than 8 people. I don’t remember the details. Of course, this is based on personal preference. Nanjing has a long history and rich cultural treasures, so it is worth a visit. There were a lot of things to see. We originally planned to visit several universities, but we had to give up due to time constraints. However, this became the reason for our next trip to Nanjing. It was already 8pm when we returned to Shanghai. A late dinner at the table.
By the way, you will feel sleepy when you go there. Please be careful to bring Longhu Shuxing Essence with you when you travel. I bought one recently and it’s pretty good.
