When traveling, should I turn off the power of the refrigerator?

When traveling for a long time, you need to turn off the power of the refrigerator.

Refrigerator maintenance when traveling:

1. When the refrigerator is not used for a long time, unplug the power plug, take out all the food from the refrigerator, and add detergent or warm water to the refrigerator. Use baking soda to clean all parts. Use a brush or vacuum cleaner to clean the condenser and compressor. After the inside of the box is fully dry, close the door.

2. Set the thermostat adjustment to "0" or "Stop" or "Max" (strong cold point) to allow the elasticity in the thermostat to return to its natural state and extend its service life.

3. Because the magnetic door seal is an important part of the refrigerator, its function is to seal the door and isolate it from the outside air. Due to regular use, door seals can become loose or squeezed, or they can become stuck due to contamination from acidic foods such as juice and fat. Over time, it will cause the seal to deform, thus affecting the sealing performance. You can apply a small amount of talcum powder or prickly heat powder on the front door seal.

4. Do not cover the refrigerator with a plastic cover after it is out of use, because the plastic cover will condense moist air and cause some parts of the refrigerator and the unpainted box to rust. Therefore, it is only suitable to put it in a paper shell when storing.

5. Place in a ventilated and dry place, avoid direct sunlight.

6. Because the freezing point of the refrigerant in the refrigerator is very low, there is no need to worry about it freezing and placing the refrigerator in a higher temperature place.
