When is the best time to travel to Ili?
Ili is one of the most famous areas in Xinjiang. It has unique attractions and different scenery pictures appear every spring, summer, autumn and winter. However, due to the influence of geography and climate, most people recognize that Ili is most beautiful when it is most beautiful. So when is the best time to travel to Ili?
Yili, is that Yili milk? Ha ha! First of all, let me correct a mistake: Yili is not Yili. It can be said that Xinjiang is really big and has rich scenery and landforms. The scenery inside will definitely exceed the scenery in your impression. I believe seeing it once is not enough. Xiao Ma has been to Xinjiang twice, once in southern Xinjiang and once in northern Xinjiang. My personal favorites are Ili and Kashgar.
Ili Kazakh Autonomous Prefecture, one of the five autonomous prefectures in the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, is located in Yining City. China is the only autonomous prefecture that has jurisdiction over both prefecture-level and county-level administrative areas. It is located in the Ili River Valley in the Western Tianshan Mountains of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. The main tourist destinations are grassland folk tourism areas such as Chaxi, Tambula, and Nalati. Cultural relics include the ancient city of Saudi Arabia, the ancient city of Wusun in Baozadun, Gordon Monument and grassland rock paintings. As for the final food, roasted whole lamb, mutton skewers, big plate chicken, pot belly, pepper chicken, cold skin, naan pit meat, steamed buns, yellow noodle barbecue, Burqin grilled fish, Xibo pie, etc. They are all Xinjiang specialties, very good.
Although the cultural scenery in Kashgar is great, the natural scenery is slightly inferior, while Ili is different, with rich cultural customs and top-notch natural scenery.
1. When is the best time to travel to Yili?
If you want to enjoy the natural scenery, you must come here from June to August. After all, this is the most beautiful season in Ili. You can see lavender at this time, and the grassland is also at its most beautiful. All kinds of flowers are in bloom, which can satisfy your best imagination of Xinjiang scenery.
If you just want to come here to appreciate the cultural scenery, then it is very suitable to come to Yili all year round. Although it is named Ili Kazakh Autonomous Prefecture, more than 13 ethnic groups live here. These ethnic groups have their own different languages, writings and living habits, so you can experience many unique cultural customs.
Of course, Ili is still beautiful in October and November. Why is it recommended to travel here in autumn?
First, the temperature is appropriate. In autumn in Xinjiang, the sky is high and the clouds are clear, cool and dry. There are few bad weather events like dust storms.
2: October is the time in Xinjiang, including the Yining District of Ili Prefecture in northern Xinjiang, where all kinds of fresh and dried fruits are ripe. Here, you can not only taste raisins and cantaloupe, but also have the opportunity to taste almonds, which are delicious.
Third, you can appreciate the customs and customs of ethnic minorities. Yining, Ili Prefecture in northern Xinjiang, is the capital of the Kazakh Autonomous Prefecture. Its ethnic minorities include Kazakhs, Uyghurs, and Kirgiz. Heard: Dong's accompaniment "Erdaohezi", "The First Snow in 2002" and many other music with Xinjiang folk songs.
Fourth, there are many mysterious tourist attractions in Yili and Yining in northern Xinjiang. Such as: Xiao Hongna Shihairen. Only when you arrive in Xinjiang do you realize how big China is, and only when you arrive in Ili do you understand the beauty of Xinjiang. Yili has unique scenic spots, long-standing cultural relics and rich and colorful multi-ethnic cultural landscapes. Kanas Lake, a famous scenic spot in China, has the characteristics of Swiss scenery. The water and sky at Brento Beach are the same color and the scenery is pleasant. Tambula's Sailimu Lake, Guozigou, Nalati and Tianshan Mountains are rich in scenery. The ancient Silk Road runs through the entire state, leaving behind rich and precious cultural relics.
2. Introduction to Yili Travel
Ili is located in the northwest of Xinjiang, bordering Kazakhstan to the west. It is located in the Ili River Valley at the northern foot of the Tianshan Mountains in western Xinjiang, and is known as "Jiangnan beyond the Great Wall". During the Qing Dynasty, it was regarded as the economic and military center of Xinjiang. Many generals have been stationed here, and the natural conditions here are not bad in Xinjiang. So, if you made a mistake and were sent to Erie at that time, it would be a good future. From this point of view, Yili has been a land rich in sugar cane since ancient times.
However, despite this, in Ma Xiao’s opinion, what I yearn for most in Yili is the endless grassland style. Of course, there are flowers everywhere, and lavender is the most distinctive
3. What places are worth visiting in Ili?
First of all, Xiao Ma selected places worth visiting in Yili based on his own experience. Xiaoma does not recommend some places that are full of potholes or not worth going to. (Some formal attractions are recommended based entirely on personal wishes and may be different from your preferences, for reference only)
The most recommended attractions in Ili
Recommendation index: four stars - four stars Half
Sailim Lake
Reason for pony recommendation:
Although Sailim Lake actually belongs to Bole, in the minds of most people, it It is a must-go place when visiting Ili. It can be said that this is one of the three most beautiful lakes in China that I have ever seen. The entire scale is almost smaller than Qinghai Lake, but it is better to be smaller. Tourists are not as crowded as Heima River and Erlangjian in Qinghai Lake, so I personally recommend it.
The best season in Limu Lake:
Personally, I think June is the most beautiful season in Sailimu Lake. From morning to night, nasturtiums, dandelions, and wild flowers bloom beside Sailimu Lake. July-August can be regarded as the second tourist season of Sailimu Lake. In other seasons, Sailimu Lake is generally covered with ice and snow, especially from November to March of the following year.
Kajun Grassland
Reason for Xiaoma’s recommendation:
Many people say: “You don’t know what vastness is until you get to Kalajun.” I believe everyone knows Hulunbuir. The prairie is endless and flat as far as the eye can see, but the Kalajun at the foot of the Tianshan Mountains is completely different. The undulating grassland is full of wild flowers in midsummer, which is more three-dimensional and colorful than Hulunbuir.
Pony game recommendation:
The more popular way to play is to take a sightseeing bus from the scenic spot to the flower terrace, but personally I think the most suitable way is to walk from Qiongkush Terrace to Karajun , which takes about 8 hours. You can also ride from Qiongkushtai Village to Kalajun, which takes about 5 hours. Although it takes a long time, the forests, lakes, snow-capped mountains, grasslands, and the lives of Kazakh herdsmen along the way will definitely allow you to experience different scenery and customs.
The best season in Caljon:
June-July-August are the most beautiful seasons to come here, especially early June. Secondly, the scenery is average at other times, but if you experience the cultural customs, it is suitable all year round.
Bayinbuluke
Reason for Xiaoma’s recommendation:
I don’t belong to Ili either, but most people still choose to go to Ili. Generally, they put their itinerary after Nalati, take a section of the Douku Highway, and then reach the Bayinbuluke Prairie. It can be said that this grassland is much larger than Kalajun. The whole scenery is a bit like Hulunbuir, but the characteristic is that it has nine twists and turns, which is very unique.
The best season for Bayinbuluk:
Bayinbuluk belongs to the alpine grassland, and the green grassland can only be seen from July to August of the year. It is dry and yellow in other seasons, so July to August is the most beautiful. Of course, mid to late June is also good.
Ili Recommended Attractions
Kazanqi
Perhaps this is the most amazing attraction I have encountered in Ili City. It's not so much a scenic spot, but a place where people live in the city. Here, you can see the customs of the Uyghur people. For example, you can taste the rich Xinjiang flavor and see many traditional handicraft and jewelry shops. Of course, you can also enjoy the life of the locals here.
There is also the same type of Six Star Street, which is also a recommended attraction in the city.
Guozigou Bridge
Reason for Xiaoma’s recommendation:
This is the only place to pass from Yining to Sailimu Lake, and it is also the most exciting attraction. one. This steel truss cable-stayed bridge with twin towers and twin cable planes spans the valley and is a spectacular sight.
The best season for Guozigou Bridge:
June to August is the best, because at this time, the scenery next to Guozigou Bridge is full of green and lush, and the background of the entire bridge looks Very gorgeous.
You can also pay attention to recommended attractions: Princess Youjie Lavender Paradise, Horgos Port, Zhaosu Grassland, Nalati Grassland, etc.
4. How to plan a travel route to Yili?
If you want to complete the route of most scenic spots in Yili, it will take at least 5 days. If you have enough time, you can have fun at Karajun.
According to Xiao Ma’s own trip to Ili, the scenic spots here are sorted according to his own preferences as follows:
Ku Highway Bayinbuluk Karajun Sailimu Lake Nalati Kazan Chiguogoli Bridge Horgos Port Tour Princess Lavender Paradise
The first day: Liu Xing Street, Khan Khan Street, Karaqin Banner
On this day, we mainly Check in at the scenic spots in Ili city to experience the rich ethnic customs of Ili.
You can go to Harqin Banner in the morning to appreciate the ethnic customs here. After shopping, you can go to Hanren Street to eat local snacks, focusing on noodles, steamed buns, hand-made rice, Xibo cakes, yogurt, etc. After visiting Han Street, you can also go to Liu Xing Street to continue experiencing the ethnic customs.
The next day: Tour Princess Lavender at Sailimu Lake Horgos Port in Guozigou
It is recommended that individuals choose to sign up for a one-day tour, which can better save time and cost. Generally, the cost of a day trip is around 150 yuan, sometimes even lower. The trip usually starts at eight in the morning, and you can enjoy Sailimu Lake in Guozigou in the morning. When you're done, you'll also pack a lunch. In the afternoon, we visit Princess Jelavind at Horgos Port and usually arrive in the city around six o'clock in the evening.
Day 3: One-day tour to Kalajun Grassland
You can choose to sign up for a one-day tour or carpool and choose the Kalajun one-day tour route. It usually sets off at 7 or 8 in the morning and reaches the scenic spot in 3 hours. Then you will enjoy stuff Kara-jun. You can experience horse riding and other projects in the scenic area, but there is an additional charge. Personally I think it's average. Just choose according to your preference. Arrive in the city around 9pm.
Day 4-5; Bayinbuluke Grassland Nalati Duku Highway
In order to save time, the best way is to carpool. It takes two days to visit these places, and you can focus on visiting the Bayinbuluke Prairie and the scenery along the Duku Highway.
Things to note
It is recommended that you choose a day trip or carpooling when in Yili, because just like traveling in Xinjiang, transportation to many scenic spots in Yili is inconvenient, and if If you are far away and want to save time and money, it is better to ride a pony. Of course, if you can drive yourself, it is also a very good choice.
From 2010 to 2010, Yili had a wide variety of delicacies, most of which had a strong Xinjiang flavor.
The focus can be on fried noodles with shredded pork, shredded lung noodles, baked buns, large plate of chicken, milk tea, Xibo pie, naan, hand-picked rice, naan, lasagna, pepper and sesame chicken, minced pork noodles, and naan.
The temperature in Yili is much cooler than other places, so you should bring a coat even if you come here in summer.
