Uruguay has a government-approved visa. According to the mutual visa exemption agreement signed by China and Uruguay, holders of diplomatic passports and diplomatic and official passports held by personnel of the permanent embassy in Uruguay can enter Uruguay without a visa. Holders of Hong Kong SAR passports can enter Uruguay without a visa. The maximum stay period is not More than 3 months (90 days). Other people holding Chinese passports who come to Uruguay must go through visa procedures in advance. Uruguay does not issue a visa on arrival. Chinese citizens entering Uruguay must apply for a visa in advance at the Uruguayan embassy or consulate in China.
