Since the reform and opening up, China has formulated a series of laws and regulations to promote and standardize the development of cultural industries, and gradually established a sound governance system according to law. These laws and regulations mainly include: Film Industry Promotion Law, Copyright Law, Cultural Relics Protection Law, Public Cultural Service Guarantee Law, Intangible Cultural Heritage Law, Tourism Law, Advertising Law, Patent Law and Trademark Law, which are all involved in the Civil Code and the Anti-Unfair Competition Law.

In addition, some international conventions to which China has acceded also have relevant norms, mainly including the Paris Convention, Berne Convention, WIPO Copyright Treaty, WIPO Performances and Phonograms Treaty, etc.
