The origin of place names

Hongcun, with a broad and developed meaning in ancient times, is a strange cow-shaped ancient village in the ancient Peach Blossom Garden. Hongcun was originally called Hongcun. According to Wang's genealogy, Hongcun is beautiful because it has been "expanded into a Taiyi elephant".

According to the Preface to the Ancestor Yan Jigong of Hongcun Village in Song Dynasty, Wang, the ancestor of Hongcun Village in Song Dynasty, was born in Tangmo, Shexian County, and was forced to return to his hometown because of a fire when he was doing business in Jinling, passing through yi county Beixiang and temporarily staying in the village. Because the terrain of Shu Qi is scattered, it is easy to be flooded by flash floods and difficult to put out by fires, so it will not live long.

During the period of Shaoxing in Song Dynasty, Shu Qi village was robbed by bandits, and more than 300 families living together were destroyed by fire. Wang Yanji, a descendant of Wang Yanji, followed the instructions of his ancestors and moved his family to the foot of Leigang Mountain where pudding lived. Built 13 house (later called 13 floor), which means "Hong Guang Village". Later, during the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty, the emperor called Li Hong, which was renamed Hongcun because of taboo.
