Georgia is a country located in the west of South Caucasus in southwest Asia. It borders Russia in the north, Azerbaijan and Armenia in the southeast and south, Turkey in the southwest and the Black Sea in the west. Georgia covers an area of 69,700 square kilometers, mainly ethnic Georgians (86.8%). The official language is Georgian, mainly Orthodox, and the capital is Tbilisi.
