Potala Palace 1

The tallest and grandest palace in the world is the most brilliant symbol of Tibetan culture. There are some ancillary buildings in the Potala Palace, including the monastery on the mountain, the monk official school, the Langjie Zhacang, the East and West courtyards, the snowy ancient town under the mountain, the printing house of the Tibetan local government, the Sherbalikong, the Majikang, the prison, the stables and the Longwangtan Scenic Resort scenic spot in the back garden of the Potala Palace.

The tour route of Potala Palace is relatively fixed, and the guiding signs along the tour route generally do not deviate.

2. Barkhor Street (Bajiao Street)

It is an old-fashioned block full of Tibetan life, and it is also the place with the largest daily passenger flow in Lhasa. There are many shops and more than 1000 mobile stalls here. Almost all the houses facing the street are shops, dealing in prayer wheels, Tibetan robes, Tibetan knives, vivid and simple religious instruments and other daily necessities. There are all kinds of goods from India and Nepal. Tourism commodities of all ethnic groups are concentrated in Barkhor Street with a circumference of only 1000 meters, which is cheap and good. In addition, there are religious and cultural shrines near Barkhor Street, such as Shrimp Yard, Quiet Yard, Xide Temple Site, Cangjie Temple and Muslims. You can fully appreciate the mysterious collision of various cultures.

3. Yaowangshan

At an altitude of 3725 meters, there is a path leading to the summit. Wang Yao is a good angle to shoot the Potala Palace, especially halfway up the mountain. In the early morning of the tourist season, many photographers and photographers often gather on Wang Yao Mountain, waiting for the first sunshine to illuminate the Potala Palace. There is a grotto temple on the east side of Wang Yaoshan, which is a grotto temple with a strange shape. It is located on the steep mountainside at the foot of Wang Yao Mountain, and is called Chararup. If you go to see it, don't forget to bring a lead lamp or flashlight. Behind Mount Wang Yao is the famous Ten Thousand Buddha Wall in Lhasa, and there are many people carving Mani stone nearby. Go south from a path in the east of Tibet Tourism Bureau.

4. Norbulingka

Norbulingka, commonly known as the Summer Palace in Lhasa, which means "baby park" in Tibetan, is the summer palace of lamas in past dynasties. Whenever summer comes, the Lama moves from Potala Palace to Norbulingka to work. Its buildings mainly include Gesangpo Chapter, Jinpo Chapter and Daming Jiupo Chapter, with a total of 374 rooms. It is the largest artificial garden in Tibet, with the best scenery and the most historical sites. It has become a people's park. There will be many performances during the Snow Festival.

5. Jokhang Temple

Jokhang Temple is located in the center of Lhasa and was built in the middle of the 7th century. It is the earliest wooden structure building in Tibet, and also the most brilliant building in Fan Ye period. Jokhang Temple is resplendent and magnificent, surrounded by people who learn from the scriptures every day. Jokhang Temple is the center of major Buddhist activities in Tibet, also known as the "Eye of Tibet".

Address: Bajiao Street, Chengguan District, Lhasa

Opening hours: 9:00- 18:00. Jokhang Temple is mainly composed of Tibetans who converted to Buddhism in the morning. Although it is also open to tourists, it will take a long time. All Buddhists are open in the morning, and only the main Buddhist temple is open in the afternoon. They are also chained and cannot be visited. But the afternoon is very quiet, and lamas often introduce the history and cultural relics of Jokhang Temple to tourists, which is really worth listening to. Around 19: 30, there will be monks chanting in the Hall of the Great Heroes until 2 1:00. If you are interested, you can say hello to the staff at the ticket office in advance and see it then.

6. drepung monastery

It is one of the three major temples of the Gelug Sect of Tibetan Buddhism and the largest temple in the world. There are many buildings in drepung monastery, among which the famous ones are "Gandanpo Chapter" and "Cuoqin Hall", that is, the four "Zhacang" and their affiliated Kangcun. In addition, it is worth mentioning that it is the largest kitchen in Tibet next to Zuoqin Hall. At its peak, there were more than 65438+100000 monks in drepung monastery, who drank butter tea in class every morning and ate at ordinary times. You can imagine the size of the pot where so many people boil water and cook. Most lamas in drepung monastery are very friendly. Arrival transportation: You can take a taxi from downtown Lhasa, go to 20 yuan at the foot of the mountain and go up to 30 yuan. You can also take bus No.3 from downtown, only to the foot of the mountain.
