The Maitreya Buddha statue carved from white sandalwood is carved from a complete piece of white sandalwood. It is 18 meters high above the ground and buried 8 meters underground. The entire Buddha statue stands majestically on the Xumi throne carved from white marble. Among them, the head of the Buddha is directly pointing up to the caisson of the uppermost attic. After the Buddha statue was completed, 1,100 meters of yellow satin was used to make just one robe for the Buddha statue. Therefore, Wanfu Pavilion was also called the "Big Buddha Tower".
