I am a minor, and my aunt took me abroad. How to write authorization?

When leaving the country, China's border guards won't ask his father's authorization or anything. However, before leaving the country, when applying for a visa to the destination country, the father still needs to issue a power of attorney and notarize it (some countries also require to go to the local foreign affairs office for certification).

First of all, if it is for the purpose of tourism, such as traveling to Southeast Asia and other countries (Thailand, Cambodia, etc. ), you don't need "father's consent" when you apply for a visa, you just need to send your passport and your child's passport to apply for a visa. When leaving the country, the border guards only need to check the destination visa before they can be released.

However, if you are going to Japan, Europe, the United States and other developed countries, you only need one parent to apply for a visa with a minor child, and you need to do notarization twice. One is the notarization of the child's birth (with the original birth certificate attached) and the notarization of the power of attorney agreed by the father. If the reason for "single parent" is divorce, even if you have full custody right at present, you still need the father of the child to issue a power of attorney and do notarization. Because according to the general principles of China's civil law, even if the husband and wife divorce, the custody of their minor children is still valid.

The notarization of the power of attorney requires the absent party (father) to personally go to the notary office and sign the power of attorney in front of the notary. For example, if a mother takes her children to travel abroad, the following contents need to be indicated in the power of attorney: First, the husband agrees that his wife will take their children to travel abroad; Second, the husband entrusts his wife to exercise custody of their children during their trip abroad. Even if the two parties divorce and one of them takes the child to travel, it is necessary to handle such entrustment notarization. Even if all custody rights and divorce certificates are provided, this still needs to be done.

If there is no father's information on the birth certificate, this kind of single parent situation does not need the father's power of attorney and notarization, and the mother can bring her own certificate and the child's birth certificate.
