Dongshan Island Tourism

Dongshan Island is one of the famous scenic spots in Fujian Province, where the bay is vast, the beach is gentle, the trees are shaded, and there are many scenic spots, which are very characteristic of southern coastal scenery. Dongshan Island was called Tongshan in ancient times, and there is still Tongshan ancient city built in Ming Dynasty, which is located at the seaside of Tongling Town. It was built to resist Japanese pirates and is still strong and dependent. There is an exquisite and elegant Guandi Temple in the ancient city, also known as Wu Temple, which was built in the Ming Dynasty and is still full of incense. Maluan Bay of Dongshan Island is located in the east of Dongshan Island, where the sand is clean and white, the sky is high and the sea is wide, and the shore is lush with green trees. The beach is more than 2500 meters long and 60 meters wide. The northeast of the beach is covered by "Three Peaks", and the southeast is guarded by four small islands such as Chiyu, forming its own pattern. Dongshan pneumatic stone is located on the cliff at the east gate of Dongshan ancient city. It is 4.37 meters high, 4.57 meters wide, 4.69 meters long and weighs about 200 tons. Top round, shaped like a peach, the wind blows the stone, hence the name "pneumatic stone". However, it survived typhoons and earthquakes, and is known as "the first stone in the world". Standing on a rock lying on the ground and facing the sea, the contact surface is only a dozen square centimeters. The wind blew and the boulder shook gently. If people lie on their backs and push up with their feet, the boulder will shake, but it will not fall down, and it is known as "the first stone in the world".

Celebrities in the past dynasties sang a lot about pneumatic stones, such as Wen Sanjun's poem in the Ming Dynasty: "Stone is a beautiful space, and it is not the wind that rocks it." The cloud root leads directly to the pagoda, and the moon pavilion is as small as a ladder. "

Later, it was expanded, burned and rebuilt several times. Guandi Temple, a traditional symmetrical building, is a beam-lifting structure with a single eaves, resting at the top of the mountain. There are cloisters, Danyong Longbi and Huabiao Monastery, and the central axis of the building is opposite to Wenfeng Pagoda across the sea. I didn't expect the strait to be isolated. It took more than half a century. On this tragic stage, people saw a shocking scene: hundreds of women who lost their husbands in the military disaster came to the seaside in droves, burning incense and sprinkling wine on the east bank of the strait in the depths of the sea of clouds, not knowing whether their loved ones were dead or alive, so they could only bid farewell. How many times, they sobbed and called for their husbands, only to hear the sound of the waves echoing; How many times, they looked forward to returning to the ship with tears in their eyes, but there were no sails, only clouds. These unfortunate women, their loyalty to love and their desire for reunion can be proved by the blue sky and the sea! Thus, this village has another bitter name-"Widow Village".
