Introduction to Shizhushan Scenic Area in Fuqing on December 29, 2021

Shizhushan Scenic Area is located 10 kilometers away from the western suburbs of Fuqing City. By Liyu Lake, you can choose to walk all the way up, or take the cable car to the middle of the mountain and then walk around, which is more labor-saving. Sitting on the cable car and looking down, the scenery of Shizhu Lake is particularly beautiful.

Not far from the cableway station is the Shizhu Taoist Temple halfway up the mountain. The Shizhu Taoist Temple is an ancient temple with the only surviving Buddhist and Taoist temples. The main gods worshiped inside are not the Jade Emperor and Sanqing. , but the Nine Immortals of the He family who are famous in Taoism. It should be noted that incense candles are usually much cheaper at the foot of the mountain than at the top. You may meet "enthusiastic people" in the temple who will guide you on how to pray, and they usually charge extra. If you don't plan to do so, just refuse politely.

If time is limited, you can return from Shizhu Taoist Temple. If you want to enjoy more natural landscapes, you can continue to climb to the top of Zhuangyuan Peak along the stone steps. Two hiking trails halfway up the mountain merge at Fuqiang Pavilion, forming a road that leads directly to the top of the mountain. It still requires some physical strength to complete the entire journey.
