When you encounter a trough period, should you drop everything, go out for a trip, and relax?
The lowest period in my life was when I was about to graduate from college. At that time, all my friends went their separate ways and I didn’t know where to go. I feel anxious every day. One day my friend told me that we should travel to Tibet together tomorrow! I agreed without even thinking about it.
Many people warned me about the dangers of altitude sickness before I went there. I heard that some people never came back alive. This trip was really a snap. I really went on this trip with the determination of a strong man to never return. What did I gain from this trip to Tibet?
1. The experience of altitude sickness
It’s really whatever you fear before going that’s what you’ll get. After arriving in Lhasa on the first day, we took a bus to Namtso early the next morning. On the way to Namtso, my head started to hurt, and later it became severe enough to cause a tearing pain. Every minute, a nerve in his head began to twitch. I was completely exhausted and looked pale. Later, when I returned to the youth hostel where I was staying, I went to a nearby restaurant to eat mutton and sip butter tea. It turned out that this greasy tea could relieve my pain.
When I arrived at the place where I was staying at night, my friends were going to drink and chat and watch the stars, but I was already stargazing in front of my eyes. After listening to the boss, I drank a few bottles of glucose and went back to sleep. As a result, the next day, I set out for a trip full of energy.
2. Taking refuge in the Jokhang Temple spiritually
Later, my body adapted well and my physical strength gradually recovered. We live very close to the Jokhang Temple. No matter what our itinerary is on that day, we will definitely go to the Jokhang Temple to worship every day, because once we arrive at 6 o'clock in the evening, we don't have to buy tickets. In Dazhao Temple, you will feel what absolute piety is. Seeing people prostrating themselves on the ground and kowtowing, passers-by delivering economics, and people holding butter tea, I was really moved to tears because the power of faith makes people admire. .
3. Meeting the man of my dreams
I met the person I most wanted to be in Lhasa. He was the owner of our youth hostel, the Immortal Fisherman. He once participated in a program on Travel TV, and Bangdacang was also run by him. Get a dog, bask in the sun during the day, drink and count the stars at night. Every year I go to several places I want to visit and come back to write in such a beautiful Bangdacang. This is really my lifelong yearning.
Tibet is a place that so many people long to reach. It's because the altitude here is very high, which can bring you closer to another dimension.
After returning from this trip to Tibet, I let go of my anxiety. Because I see those devout believers who focus on the present. I also want to learn from them and focus on the present. Traveling is the best way to get out of trouble.
