The "Qin-Shu Ancient Road" is an ancient road from Chang'an (today's Xi'an) to Chengdu, with a total length of more than 1,000 kilometers. Starting from Chang'an, we go through Chang'an Ziwu Ancient Road, Zhouzhi Heiyukou, Zhouzhi Xinkou, Tangluo Ancient Road at Luoyukou, starting from Baoxie Road in Mei County, Chencang Road (old road) to Hanzhong, and then from Hanzhong to Chengdu.

The route starting from Baoji Chencang Road can also go directly to Chengdu via Jinniu Road.

The earliest route Shaanxi merchants took was through the "Qin-Shu Ancient Road" to Bashu (mainly Kangding, but also to West Asia, India and Southeast Asia. In Kangding, it was divided into two routes, one heading west to Tibet , one heading southwest towards Yunnan), because it is walking back and forth between ancient roads, "pai" means the number of times, it is called "traveling the ancient road", "pai" also includes walking on mountains and waterways, testing, and accompanying others. In other words, the variant character of "Pa" is "Pa", so it is written as "Pa ancient road" in writing. We have to admire the ingenuity of the ancients in using words.
