The College of Tourism and Cuisine (Food Science and Engineering) actively practices the college culture of "strengthening the college with characteristics and educating people scientifically", taking teaching and scientific research as the center, discipline construction as the leader, adhering to "people-oriented", increasing the number of teachers as the basis, focusing on supplementing the number of newly-established professional teachers, introducing and cultivating discipline leaders and teaching backbones, and striving to improve the overall quality and level of teachers. The college has a strong faculty, reasonable structure and excellent quality. There are 78 full-time teachers and more than 30 part-time and visiting teachers inside and outside the school. Among the full-time teachers, there are professors 12, researchers 1, 40 associate professors and 35 lecturers. The proportion of teachers with master's degree or above is 63%, and the proportion of teachers with doctoral degree under 45 is 24%. There are 2 doctoral tutors and 38 master tutors in the college. Among the double-qualified teachers, there are 0/2 national culinary masters/kloc-,4 national culinary masters, 8 judges and judges of national culinary competition, and 0/8 senior culinary technicians/kloc-. The college has seven undergraduate majors, including bioengineering (fermentation engineering), tourism management, cooking and nutrition education, nutrition, food science and engineering, food quality and safety, and dairy project. Among them, "Tourism Management Major" is a school-level characteristic major with an early establishment, solid foundation and rich experience in running schools among similar majors in colleges and universities in the province. "Cooking and Nutrition Education Specialty" is a provincial specialty with the longest running history and leading level in China. "Food Science and Engineering Specialty" is a school-level brand specialty and key construction discipline; "Nutrition Specialty" and "Food Quality and Safety" were approved by the Ministry of Education and started earlier in China.
