Tourist resources of Gulei Peninsula

Gulei City is located at the southern foot of Bijia Mountain at the southern end of the Gulei Peninsula. It was built in the 10th year of Zhengde in the Ming Dynasty (1515). It is rectangular in plan, 200 meters long and 120 meters wide. The city is located on the mountain top from the north to the south. It is low, with a city gate built on the south side. The gate stone forms the top of the gate, 7.5 meters wide and 5 meters deep. Only remnants remain.

Hongyu Island is known as the "island outside the world" and the "island of customs". It is the largest island in Zhangpu waters. The island has lush woods, jagged rocks, and a faint mist. Looking from a distance, it looks like the Penglai Sea Fairy Mountain floating above the blue clouds. The entire island, except for an abalone farm, is uninhabited and retains its intact original ecology. The most unique sight on Hongyu Island is the Fengdong Rock. Aeolian stone is a special type of granite stone egg landform. Because the contact area between the root of the stone egg and the base is very small, it gives people the feeling of being shaken by strong winds. There are more than a dozen large and small groups of wind-driven stones on Hongyu Island. The largest one is the giant Oviraptorosaurus wind-driven stone located at the southern end of the island. It is known as "the first wind-driven stone in China". It is 22 meters long and 10 meters wide. It is 8 meters high and weighs about 3,000 tons. It is carried on its back by a huge boulder that looks like a natural stone turtle. The contact area between the upper and lower stones is only one square meter of stone surface.
