Overview of attractions in Gufengyuan Tourist Resort

Qiye Stone

It is said that in the early Qing Dynasty, local villagers suffered from a strange disease, and many doctors had no way to cure it. The villagers had no choice but to resign themselves to their fate. One day, a Taoist priest came to the village. When he saw the big stone, he said to the villagers: "Go and worship the big stone as Qiye. It will eliminate diseases for you." After saying that, he drifted away. The villagers didn't believe it and no one went. Later, there was a couple whose only son was dying of illness and saw many doctors but no improvement. Out of helplessness, the couple took sesame oil and carried their seriously ill son to worship Dashi as the deity. The next day, my son's illness miraculously improved. When the villagers learned about it, they all went to worship Dashi as the Lord of Deeds. Strangely enough, the villagers' diseases healed themselves without medicine.

From then on, the villagers respectfully called the big stone the Qiye Stone, and went there to offer incense and worship during every year and festival. After the villagers gave birth to their children, they all came to this stone to make a deed, which was called "Master Qi". I don't know if it's a miracle or a coincidence, but the children in the village really haven't had any serious illnesses since they were young. This custom has been passed down to this day.

Natural pine forest

There are acres of secondary virgin forest in the park, more than a thousand acres of various fruit forests, and a large vegetable planting base. It has a beautiful environment and fresh air, which is ideal. As a leisure resort, we sincerely hope to cooperate with colleagues in the tourism industry and welcome citizens to visit and play.

While having fun playing games, primary and secondary school students can also receive patriotic education in a timely manner. The original site of Gu Fengyuan was an important activity base for the Dongjiang guerrillas. It was here that countless revolutionary patriots trained and grew up and fought for the motherland without hesitation. Students here commemorate the revolutionary martyrs, receive revolutionary traditional education, and establish a correct outlook on life and morality from an early age.

Natural Melon Orchard

There are nearly 10,000 fruit trees carefully cultivated in Gufeng Garden, with a wide variety of varieties. Because of the excellent water and soil, the fruits here are particularly large, fragrant and sweet. In season, the fruit trees are bent over and full of attractive fruits. From May to July, there are lychees, from July to August, there are longans, from September to October, there are Taiwanese pomegranates, green dates, and carambolas. They are available all year round. There are black olives, mangoes and so on. If tourists go at the right time, fresh fruits will be delivered to the guest rooms every day. If tourists are leisurely, they can follow the host and pick them in the orchard themselves, which will taste even more delicious.

As long as tourists are willing, not only fruits but also all the vegetables here can be picked by themselves. They can even plant rapeseeds, water and fertilize themselves under the guidance of the host, and the host will help continue. Keep it well, and if you come for a stroll some time later, you might be able to eat the vegetables you grew by yourself.

Chickens that can climb trees

Different from the carefully cultivated melons and fruits, the chickens here are raised freely, with no cages and no dedicated people to feed them. They are left to their own devices. Make nests and forage freely in orchards and fields. Pesticides are not sprayed in the orchards, and those fat bugs are their main food. If visitors are careful enough, they may be able to find fresh eggs on bushes and fruit trees. They are warm and absolutely delicious to pop into your stomach. The only trouble is that if you want to catch these chickens and put them in the pot, it will take a lot of trouble. They will easily jump up the tree, turn left and right to catch and hide with you.

The fish are also raised naturally, leaving the fry behind and relying on the fish to eat aquatic plants and microorganisms to fend for themselves. Survival of the fittest, many of the fish caught are quite big.

You must try the chicken and fish here. There is an elegant farmhouse restaurant on the water in the valley. The home-cooked dishes include steamed fish, steamed chicken with mushrooms, rolled green vegetables, stir-fried snake gourd meat...it leaves a mouthful of food. Fragrant, the taste is particularly fresh and sweet. Or tourists can also do it themselves. The facilities are complete for picnics and barbecues, and the owner also carefully installed faucets next to each oven. The feeling of grilling fish under the shade of trees, overlooking the green mountains and green water, is different from the crowded barbecue places in the city.

Natural mineral water

Gufeng Garden has beautiful mountains and even more beautiful water. The mountain spring water here has been tested by a special water quality testing bureau and is a high-quality mountain spring without any pollution and can be drank directly. When you are tired from climbing mountains, you can grab a cup of mountain spring on the spot. The sweetness and the aura of the mountain will cool your heart. It is really cool.

Every weekend, tourists from all over bring small buckets and large cans to Gufeng Mountain to collect water. It is said that the porridge and soup cooked in the mountain spring here have a special sweetness.

Children's Happy Garden

In Gufeng Garden, the happiest people are the primary and secondary school students. A skatepark, swing garden, bamboo rafting, kite flying, fireworks and other entertainment activities were specially built for them. The children jumped up and down singing and laughing as soon as they arrived, as if they were celebrating a festival. "Farmhouse" is a comprehensive experiential activity that combines education and entertainment, including catching loaches, bird watching, butterfly catching, duck roping, grinding, fishing, feeding cattle and sheep, plowing the land to grow vegetables, etc. Parents and teachers watched this A group of usually pampered little emperors scrambled to work hard, not to mention how beautiful it was. A unique outdoor training base has also been set up here. The children have exercised their physical fitness, willpower and team spirit of mutual help through game competitions such as climbing, crossing obstacles, mountain climbing and capturing the flag. Not only the children were enthusiastic about these rich activities, but many older friends were also tempted and participated in the activities with great interest, as if they had returned to the carefree days of the past.
