How is the weather in Qingdao?

Qingdao’s climate is a temperate maritime climate with four distinct seasons, short spring and autumn, cool summers, and cold winters. The average annual temperature is around 12°C.

Spring (March to May): The temperature gradually warms up in spring, but it is still cool in the morning and evening, and strong winds occur in a few cases. The temperature in April and May is between 10℃ and 20℃, which is relatively comfortable. Summer (June to August): The temperature in summer is relatively pleasant, generally between 20°C and 28°C, and you will not feel overheated. Moreover, because Qingdao is located on the coast of the East China Sea, the prevailing southwesterly wind blows water vapor from the ocean. This makes the air humidity relatively high and humid. Autumn (September to November): In autumn, the temperature gradually decreases, and the temperature difference between day and night is large. Rainy weather is prone to occur, so you need to pay attention to keeping warm and cold. Winter (December to February): The temperature in winter is low, generally between 0℃ and 8℃. Sometimes there are strong winds, rain and snow, so you need to wear more clothes to keep warm.
