Geologically, linxi county is located in the eastern edge of the second sedimentary belt of Neocathaysia in North China. Geologically, it belongs to the Bohai platform syncline in North China platform area. It is adjacent to Taihang Mountain Uplift in the west and North China Plain Fault Zone in the east, spanning two tertiary structural units, Xingheng Uplift and Linqing Depression.
