Essay on the trip to Luoyang

On the first day of the National Day holiday, I got up early and went to Luoyang, the ancient capital, with my painting teachers and friends from Maggie. I was very excited on the road and didn't sleep all the way! This time we will go to Luoyang to sketch and appreciate the culture of Luoyang!

The first stop we chose was Longmen Grottoes. Longmen Grottoes is one of the three largest grottoes in the world, and the other two are Yungang Grottoes and Mogao Grottoes.

There are many Buddha statues in Longmen Grottoes with different shapes. There is a giant Buddha with scissorhands (because his thumb is broken), a small Buddha with a height of 4 cm, and a "big, big" Buddha with an ear length of 9 meters. The "very big" Buddha statue is the last one we visited, and then we will start our first task: carving the Buddha statue by hand. Don't get me wrong, this is not a real giant Buddha, it is carved on a gypsum board. First draw the Buddha statue with a pencil, then carve it with a carving knife prepared by the teacher, and finally color it with colored chalk, and you're done! Tell you quietly: I carved a "big, big" Buddha!

The next day, we went to the Dongfanghong Agriculture Museum, which is the only museum in China with the theme of modern agriculture. It shows the most advanced tractor plows from 1000 years ago in the Tang Dynasty to China. Through this visit, I learned about the changes in farming history from ancient times to the present! We also visited the factory of Dongfanghong, because the contents involved state secrets, so we can't take pictures in it!

This trip to Luoyang, I gained a lot, and I know something about Luoyang!
