Where is Mong Kok?

Mong Kok, located in the north of Yau Tsim Mong District, Kowloon, Hong Kong, is one of the famous tourist and shopping areas in Hong Kong.

The original area of Mong Kok is bounded by Boundary Street in the north, MTR east rail line in the east, Dundas Street in the south and ferry street and Tong Mei Road in the west. However, since the West Kowloon Reclamation Project, the newly reclaimed area from Xi 'ao Haicheng to Furong Garden to the west of ferry street has been called Mong Kok West. At the same time, the area from Bi Street to Boundary Street will also be called "Prince" by some people.

In ancient times, there were many awns here, so Mong Kok used to be called Mangjiao. It was not until A.D. 1930 that Mong Kok was officially renamed Mong Kok because of its prosperity. However, the English translation of Mong Kok has not changed and is still in use today.

There are many old and new buildings in Mong Kok.
