Wynn Temple in Bishan, Kyoto is a national treasure temple in Japan. In 1994, UNESCO designated Wynn Temple as a world cultural heritage. Liyan Temple is the most important temple on Bishan Mountain, the total mountain of Tiantai Sect of Japanese Buddhism. Bishan Mountain has almost become synonymous with Liyan Temple, and Huishan Mountain has been regarded as a sacred mountain to protect Kyoto since ancient times.

At present, there is a direct bus from Kyoto station to Bishan, and you can also take the "Jingshan Shishan Sakamoto Line" or "Ruishan Electric Railway Line" to reach the foot of Bishan. There are cable cars and mountaineering trams at the foothills on both sides to reach the mountain, with convenient transportation and it takes a whole day to go back and forth. Generally speaking, most Japanese go to Bishan by car. Biyan Liyan Temple is the main peak of Tiantai Sect and one of the two important towns of Japanese esoteric religion, from which many Buddhist sects spread their branches and leaves.

The ancient historical buildings on Bishan Mountain are sparsely distributed and not as long as temples. The main reason is that during the Warring States period in Japan, it was burned by the soldiers of Oda Nobunaga. Nobuo Noda burned Mount Bi, and 4,500 temples around the mountain were reduced to ashes, killing about 3,000 monks and nuns.

Takeda Shingen accused Nobunobu of being ruthless after burning the mountain, and criticized him as "the Buddha collapsed and the magic changed", which also made Nobunobu known as the "Six-Day Demon King" and demonized by Buddhists. It is said that Akechi Mitsuhide, a later Buddhist, plotted to assassinate Nobunobu, and made an enemy because he burned the mountain.

Many ancient wooden buildings on the mountain can still climb the stairs with wooden ladders inside. If it were in China, this ancient building with a long history would have been closed for protection. Inside the ancient buildings, there are many exquisite Buddhist statues and works of art, which are very beautiful. There are also many copybooks of Zen quips, which retain the essence of Chinese studies and Buddhism.

Because the elevation of Bi _ Mountain is higher than that of Kyoto, the vegetation in the mountainous area is dense, and the temperature is much lower than that of Kyoto, the cherry blossoms on Bi _ Mountain will bloom one to two weeks later than the cherry blossom viewing period in Kyoto, and it is the latest cherry blossom viewing place in Kyoto.

There are many mountain roads in the world, and many historical sites need to climb long ramps and wear hiking shoes to go. In Liyan Temple Area, there are many exquisite temple buildings, the most exquisite of which include the Central Temple, Manjusri Building, Academy, Lecture Hall, Hokkeji East Tower and Amitabha Temple, Pure Land Courtyard, Guild Hall and National Treasure Hall. The sculptures, paintings and calligraphy in these places are very beautiful and worth seeing.

In the Xita area of Bishan Mountain, the main open areas are Shakaduo, Chuntang (the remains of Shoto Kutaishi), Xianglun and Heigu Qingliu Temple. This area is relatively remote, with few tourists and ethereal scenery.

Here in Shajiaduo, there are statues of Gu Mei, Manjusri, Pu Xian and the four heavenly kings of Feng 'an. Xianglun _ is the Jing Lou, which contains books such as Beijing Jing and Mahayana Jing. There are two ways to get to Liyan Temple by train. From Kyoto, take the _ Yamashita Railway from Chumachiyama Station to Yamashita (15 minutes, 260 yen). Take the cableway (round trip 600 yen) and the cable car (round trip 1040 yen).

The second route to Hiei Mountain is to take Biwahu West Line to Biruiban Station (15 minutes, 320 yen). Then take the Sakamoto cable car up the mountain (round trip 1570 yen). It takes 15 minutes to walk from JR station to cable car station or 5 minutes by bus.

There are direct buses from Kyoto Station (Kyoto bus operation) and Jingzuo Sanjo Station (Jingzuo bus operation) to the top of Bi Rui. The frequency of departure on weekdays and weekends is different, about 1 hour for one way.
