RV? coffee? outdoor? No need to work? All your dreams have come true.

Nowadays, many people in China are keen to travel in Camper Van. They are either outdoor enthusiasts or white-collar workers in the company. They use their leisure time to experience this longing and short-lived good time. There are many ways to live, but there are very few ways to make a living. His name is "Zang Qing", a young man on the road to Tibet, and a barista who likes to be on the road.

Last Tuesday, I drove more than 100 kilometers for two hours to Hongjing Road, Fangshan District, and completed the longest interview in Beijing. On the way up the mountain, I was still saying to myself, "It's such a long way, no matter how delicious the coffee he makes is, I won't come here a second time!"

After passing the "Nine Songs and Tens" "Eight Bends", I finally saw this Ford Van nicknamed "Dabai" by netizens on the roadside, as well as its owner "Tibetan Qing" and many guests waiting for coffee. Hongjing Road is an important road to Shidu Scenic Area. Most people pass by this place and are attracted to it when they see coffee for sale. There are also some repeat customers who come here specially. After my observations and conversations with Zang Qing, I found that what attracts everyone to stay and enjoy it is not just a cup of handmade coffee.

"I like to be on the road. I want to live on the road. This is my dream and my original intention."

At the age of 17, he was alone, hiding it from his parents. With 1,500 yuan given by his sister, he rode a bicycle from Tianjin to Beijing. He spent three days visiting all the scenic spots in Beijing. From then on, he fell in love with the feeling of "being on the road". On the second day after coming to Beijing, he came to the 798 Art Park, which he had been waiting for for a long time. When he came here for the first time, he was attracted by the roar of the locomotives in the park. It was this visit that made Zang Qing fall in love with it. After buying a motorcycle, I planted the desire to live a "on-the-road" lifestyle. In order to see these motorcycles often, he later worked part-time at the ACE Coffee Shop in the park.

Zang Qing left campus very early. He knew that in order to gain a foothold in society, he must possess a skill, so he considered coffee and cars as two hobbies. After studying in a local coffee shop for a period of time, he felt that it was difficult to learn professional coffee-making skills here. Soon after, he resigned and switched to the auto repair major he studied in school. He started an apprenticeship in an auto repair shop. A few years later, he opened his own auto repair shop. However, as the country's control over environmental protection became more and more stringent, business became increasingly difficult, so the store was eventually transferred.

At the same time that the auto repair shop was closing, ACE Coffee Shop, which had worked part-time in Beijing’s 798 Art Park, was recruiting coffee technicians, so he came to Beijing without hesitation and came to this familiar place. This is the place to start your real barista career. After receiving two months of professional training from Korean baristas, he gradually became the bar manager of the store through his own efforts, and was later transferred to the Sanlitun store as the store manager.

"Because I like it, I can face all difficulties. This is the power that supports me to continue doing this."

After several years of learning and growth, Tiang Qing has hidden in his heart That bud has already grown into a towering tree. He knows exactly what he wants in life, and all his efforts seem to be preparing for the arrival of this day. At the end of 2018, he chose to leave ACE and thought of combining his two hobbies to live on the road in the form of Vanlife, so that more people can taste his coffee and influence those through his actions. Young people who also love the outdoors and life.

He had been attracted to this Ford low-roof short-axle 2.8T diesel car for a long time, but there were only a few of this car in China, so he searched online for a month before buying one in Shandong. When he saw this car, he immediately took the high-speed rail to book it and drove the car back on the third day. Every detail of the vehicle was modified by myself. From water to electricity, many things did happen and many problems arose, but they were all solved one by one through Zangqing's exploration.

Changchi Road in Changping District is one of the stops on the long journey. One night not long ago, Zang Qing drove down from the top of the mountain and saw a puppy walking on the road from a distance. He shouted After making a sound, the puppy immediately ran over and circled around the big white car. Zangqing opened the door and the puppy jumped up and lay at his feet. The puppy was covered in mud and looked dirty. After confirming that it was a stray dog, he took him away.

"Sansan, I'm very happy to meet you. The fate is that everything happened to happen."

After going down the mountain, Zangqing immediately found the pet hospital and gave him a surgery After a comprehensive inspection and cleaning up the sediment, I discovered that it was actually a little Shiba Inu, a little girl under three years old. She didn't bark, wasn't afraid of animals, didn't get carsick, and was very well-behaved. I just told a friend who came for coffee in the afternoon that he had always wanted to adopt a stray dog. Unexpectedly, he met it right away, as if it was arranged, so he decided to live with it.

Because it was picked up on the mountain on March 8th, and Zangqing’s birthday happened to be March 8th, so I named it "San San". After learning the news that Sansan had been picked up, some car friends came here specially to bring delicious food to Sansan and felt happy for Zangqing.

Zang Qing is also a devout Buddhist believer. If vehicle conditions permit, he hopes he can drive Dabai to Tibet and leave his own footprints in the southwesternmost tip of the motherland. This is why he named his car Tashi Delek.

Zangqing also has a strong awareness of environmental protection. For example, motorcycle riders will get a 10% discount when they come here, cyclists will get a 30% discount, and hikers will get a 50% discount. You can also save money if you bring your own cup. 5 yuan, in this way, he encourages everyone to travel green, participate in outdoor sports, and become a communicator of lifestyle.

The reason why he chose locations like Hongjing Road and Changchi Road was that in addition to having a good environment, the most important thing was that there was no signal. Since everyone can't look at their mobile phones, they can calm down and enjoy a cup of coffee and truly feel the nature. Because there is no Internet, you cannot scan the QR code with your mobile phone to pay. In addition to using cash, you can only pay on credit. Everyone will register his name in the credit book, record his WeChat number, and wait until there is a signal when going down the mountain before making payment. In today's society, people lack trust and integrity. Put down their mobile phones, communicate with each other face to face, and put down their defensiveness. This is what he wants to do, and this is what I see and feel.

P: Poon

Z: Tibetan Blue

P: When do you come here every day? Where do you eat every day and where do you stay?

P: Is it profitable to do this? Can you disclose the approximate income per month?

Z: It will be busier on weekends. Under the best circumstances, we can sell more than 100 cups. On weekdays, we sell 20 to 30 cups. A cup of coffee here costs about 30 yuan, which is enough to support myself anyway. I like this lifestyle on the road, which is also a dream of many people, but you can’t just be on the road. If you want to continue, you have to earn income in some way to maintain your life, which is very difficult.

P: Do your family members support you? What do your friends think of your decision?

Z: At first, my family was particularly opposed to me doing this, because I have an older sister, my parents are older, and the elders are also more traditional, so it is difficult for them to accept my decision. But now that I can support myself and maintain my life in this way, they can also see my status online, and they feel relieved.

At first, some friends would say that you may just think about it, but it is impossible to realize it. I said yes, you wait, hahaha. Then many friends began to give me ideas, saying that you should not just sell coffee, but you could also sell burgers and ice cream. I like to listen to other people's thoughts. Everyone has their own way of thinking. Maybe someone's words will wake me up and inspire me.

P: Do you have any standards for the selection of coffee beans and other supplies?

Z: Of course, the beans I use are beans made by my friend in Jiangxi. The beans are medium roasted and darker. I bring some in every half month because it’s too hot in the car and I don’t dare to If it is set so much, the grease will come out if it is stuffy. For milk, I will use fresh milk like Daily Fresh Language, because I hope that everyone can drink a cup of high-quality coffee in the mountains. Every day I make a cup of coffee and taste it myself to make sure there is nothing wrong with it before selling it.

P: How long do you plan to sell coffee like this? Any other plans?

Z: It’s impossible for me to put this matter down and then go to work. It’s impossible. I want to keep walking on the road in this way and support myself by selling coffee, but maybe In the future, I will also use what I do to expand new projects, such as camps and so on.

P: Have you encountered any difficulties?

Z: I have encountered many difficulties. For example, in the summer, there was a problem with the lithium battery. Then I just went up the mountain and before I had made two cups of coffee, the battery tripped and couldn't do it. Solve the problems that arise, and then they will be solved gradually. If it doesn't work, ask others for advice.

P: What outdoor sports do you usually like? Where are they all going?

Z: Mountain climbing and rock climbing, you often see people playing drones here. Some people only look at the screen, and the plane crashes into the mountain. Because they couldn’t get it themselves, I picked it up for them and climbed on the steep rock wall. When I was outdoors, I would also run and skip rope and climb the surrounding mountains. Not long ago, I came here with My guests here are crawling together.

P: Do you usually go camping?

Z: I often camp. My current life is no different from camping. Sometimes when friends come over, I will take out the two tents on the roof of the car and they will set up next to my car. , and then have a barbecue and chat together in the evening.

P: How do you understand the current popular camping forms and the domestic camping environment?

Z: I am not a professional outdoor person, but I live an outdoor life. Some people use very high-end Japanese outdoor brand equipment, but basically they just sit there for a while and take some photos. I just take a photo and go home, but I hope everyone can really experience nature, instead of just taking a photo and posting it on WeChat. I don’t have those professional outdoor equipment, so I just want to be able to use them comfortably. The domestic camping environment is not very good. The facilities and equipment in the campground are dirty, messy, and not perfect. They are far different from those abroad.

Through the communication with Zang Qing, I deeply felt that he is persistent and brave for the lifestyle he wants. He uses his practical actions to influence us who also love life. Farewell to each other, Tiangqing will not change, see you again in the future, I wish you a safe journey.
