Fogang is a mountainous county located in central Guangdong. As of 2017, Fogang County *** has 6 towns, as follows:
Shijiao Town, Tangtang Town, Jingtou Town, Shuitou Town, Gaogang Town, and Longshan Town.
The county has jurisdiction over 78 village committees and 12 community neighborhood committees, as well as one provincial forestry farm and one nature reserve. The total area is 1295 square kilometers. The total population is about 320,700, and the registered population is 349,800.

Historical evolution
When the office was built in the 18th year of Jiaqing in the Qing Dynasty (1813), it was still divided from Qingyuan County and Yingde County Township forts are set up. The whole hall is divided into 7 townships and 13 forts.
In the 3rd year of the Republic of China (1914), the department was abolished and the county was changed, and two districts, the first district and the second district, were established. Later, there were adjustments and changes.
In the early days of Fogang's liberation, the county was divided into 2 districts, 9 townships and 1 town (Shijiao Town).
In February 1953, the seventh district of Qingyuan County (now Tangtang Town) was placed under the jurisdiction of Fogang County and listed as the fourth district of Fogang County.
In July 1958, Longshan Township in Qingyuan County (now Longshan Town) was placed under the jurisdiction of Fogang County. So far, the county has 4 districts and 8 townships.
Since 1976, there have been 12 people's communes in the county.
In 1983, the communities were removed and transformed into districts, and later the districts were changed into townships.
In 2004, 11 towns in the county were merged into 6 towns: Gaogang, Jintou, Shuitou, Shijiao, Tangtang and Longshan. There are 78 administrative villages and 12 residential communities. .
