Chaoshan tour started in Chaozhou. After field trip, several scenic spots were recommended and May Day holiday was arranged.

I have always felt that Chaoshan area is a treasure of Guangdong, where there are not only local cultures different from Guangfu culture, but also very rich food, which is unforgettable.

The "Chaoshan" we often say is not a specific city, but a Chaoshan cultural area composed of Chaozhou, Shantou and Jieyang. As for Shanwei and Meizhou, both in eastern Guangdong, they are also accelerating their integration into the circle. Whether these two cities are "Chaoshan" in the traditional sense is a matter of opinion.

We arranged a trip to Chaoshan for ourselves. In Guangdong, we are in Guangzhou, and Chaoshan is at that end, but it is closer to Fujian.

Unfortunately, we just thought about it but didn't act, so we set the first stop in Chaozhou as the beginning of the Chaoshan tour.

There are two railway stations in use in Chaozhou, Chaozhou Station and Chaoshan Station. Chaozhou station mainly stops by ordinary trains, which takes a long time, but it is much closer to the ancient city. Chaoshan Station is located on the shaxi town in Chaoan District, where the main train is the EMU train. If you come from Guangzhou, you will arrive in two or three hours.

No matter which railway station you arrived at first, or whether you came by car or not, I suggest you live in the ancient city, which will make your next visit more convenient and comfortable.

When you come to Chaozhou, the first thing to be solved is the accommodation problem. At that time, we lived in the ancient city, where there were many accommodations. We can book a room online in advance, and go directly to the front desk to check in after arrival, which saves time and worry.

The ancient city of Chaozhou was built on the slightly narrow Hanjiang River. The advantage of living in the ancient city is that the location is the most densely populated place in Chaozhou, and it is convenient to eat, live and travel.

Visiting the ancient city became the greatest pleasure of Chaozhou that year. Chaozhou City, with a history of 1600 years, has not been reduced to an enclosure scenic spot operated by outsiders like some ancient cities.

On the contrary, it is full of vitality. Many chaozhou people people have lived here for generations. They live their own lives and have not changed their daily lives because of the influx of more and more tourists.

I have long heard that people in Chaoshan are particularly fond of drinking tea, and I came to Chaozhou to really verify this. No matter where I go, I see the most pictures, that is, a group of people gather together to drink congou and chat.

Cycling downstairs is just an excellent shelter from the rain, and they are enjoying this leisurely life tone.

If the ancient city of Chaozhou is a must-see attraction in Chaozhou, then Paifang Street is the essence of the ancient city.

In fact, "Paifang Street" is a very common name, just a name, and everyone is used to it. As the name implies, there are many archways here, and there are 22 existing ones.

Paifang Street is on Taiping Road. There are more than 40 archways on this less than 2 kilometers pedestrian street. For some reasons, most of these archways were demolished.

Later, in order to revive this section of the road, a part of the archway was rebuilt, and it was what it looks like now.

During the day and at night, Paifang Street has different feelings. Because of the existence of the archway, the whole street has become literary and artistic, and there is a feeling of stepping into a scholarly family. Come and touch this antique.

Across the street from Paifang is Guangji Building, which is also called "East Gate Building" because it is located at the east gate of the ancient city.

Guangji Building, built in the Ming Dynasty, is a magnificent building with a history of more than 600 years. Although the shape we saw today has been rebuilt, it still follows the real Guangji Building recorded in the history books, so it still looks very shocking.

When you climb the wall, you can see the appearance of Guangji Building more closely. If you have enough time, you can walk along the wall, inside is the fireworks of the ancient city, outside is the scenery of the Han River and the beautiful scenery of Chaozhou.

As night falls, Guangji Building becomes the most beautiful scenery in the darkness. If you have seen it during the day, then the Guangji Building with lights on is worth punching in.

Guangji Bridge was once rated as "the earliest opening and closing bridge in the world" by bridge expert Mao Yisheng. Its magic lies in the middle of the bridge, which is composed of free-moving shuttle boats.

If you want to get on the bridge, you need to buy a ticket for 20 yuan. Thinking that everyone was here, I still spent 40 yuan on the bridge. In fact, there are not many things to see on the bridge, but if you step on the right time, you can still see a very interesting scene.

At about 5: 30 pm, the staff will pull up the cordon to separate the tourists. At this time, there will be a special boat to unload the connected shuttle boat, and visitors can witness the whole process.

The scene of "crossing the river and kicking down the bridge" was staged right under the nose, and the whole Guangji Bridge was in an "open" state. It is said that the West Lake is famous for its broken bridge, but it is not really a broken bridge after all.

The Guangji Bridge with the shuttle boat dismantled is really a "broken" bridge.

After nine o'clock in the morning, these buses will be moved back to their original positions, and the bridge will be "closed" again, which is very interesting.

You can also see Guangji Bridge on the binjiang road, and there will be light shows here from time to time at night. At that time, we also wanted to join in the fun, but we waited for a long time and nothing happened. It was not until I asked the local people that I knew that the performance was suspended during the special period.

I heard that the lights are on, and the light and shadow on the bridge are changing beautifully. Unfortunately, I can't see it. If you come, you can pay attention to the relevant information.

Jiadi Lane is located in Taiping Road, the ancient city of Chaozhou, and is also a part of Paifang Street. I took this alley out by myself, because I thought it was worth visiting.

Many tourists will go to Paifang Street and walk along the street, but they may not find this humble alley. Jiadi Lane is the residence of bureaucrats and famous families in Chaozhou ancient city. From the word "Jiadi", we can appreciate the glory here.

There are many precious old buildings here, which still seem to be full of charm. Walking through it, you can obviously feel the quaint atmosphere. In addition, there are few tourists here, which is very clean and comfortable.

Looking at these "Dafudi", "Minister Di", "Waihandi" and "Scholar Di", I really feel that Chaozhou is full of talents.

By the way, there is an exhibition hall about folk culture, and you can also overlook some houses from the rooftop. It's a pity that the door was closed when I went. If you are here, you can check whether it has been reopened.

Kaiyuan Temple should be an early ancient architectural complex in Chaozhou, and it is known as "the first ancient temple in eastern Guangdong".

This temple was named after Kaiyuan, a prosperous period in the reign of Emperor Xuanzong of the Tang Dynasty. After continuous repairs by later generations, today's Kaiyuan Temple still retains the main layout of the Tang Dynasty.

Walking among them, incense fills the air. I heard that praying here is very effective. I wonder what good wishes you will silently make in your heart?

It is said that Chaozhou has a husband named Xu Jue. There are not many records about Xu Jue, except that he is the son-in-law of Princess Dian, the eldest daughter of Song Yingzong.

Today's Xu Fuma House still retains the general layout when it was first built. There was a free discount when I went, so I went in and strolled around. The threshold here is particularly high, which left a deep impression on me. As for the layout inside, it is relatively simple.

However, if you are interested in Chaozhou ancient houses and human history, Xu Sima's home is a good place to go. In addition to the traditional folk houses in Chaozhou, it is extremely rare to be a royal residence or even the whole Chaozhou.
