What are the general testing items and standards for hot spring water?
Standard 1: The water temperature must exceed 25℃ to be a hot spring
Both hot springs and cold springs refer to natural mineral water. Hot springs refer to mineral water that gushes naturally from the ground or is obtained from artificial wells with a water temperature of ≥25°C and contains trace elements that are beneficial to human health. Cold springs refer to mineral water that naturally emerges from the ground or is obtained from artificial wells with a water temperature of <25°C and contains trace elements that are beneficial to human health.
There are four major criteria for choosing hot springs
Criterion 2: It can be heated or cooled, but it cannot be blended with river water, ordinary well water or tap water
Without changing the characteristics of the hot springs Under the premise of ensuring the composition and content, the hot spring can be heated. River water, ordinary well water or tap water should not be added to the cold spring for heating. Heat exchange or natural cooling methods should be used, and river water, ordinary well water or tap water should not be added for cooling. No chemical additives should be added except for applicable disinfectants. Without changing the quality of the spring, it is advisable to recycle the hot spring water.
Standard 3: Disinfection methods vary according to water quality and temperature
During use, public baths should be kept in an overflow state or equipped with a circulating filtration system. For 2 to 6 people Bathing pools should be cleaned, disinfected and water changed at least three times a week, at least twice a week for pools with 6 to 20 people, and at least once a week for pools with more than 20 people.
Choose different disinfection methods according to the quality of the spring. The use of chlorine disinfection should avoid conflict with the components in the hot spring. The free residual chlorine in the bath water should be continuously maintained between 0.2 and 0.4mg/L, with a maximum of no more than 1.0 mg/L; if the pH of the spring is too low or too high, the organic matter content is high, the water temperature is higher than 40°C, sulfur springs, iron-containing springs, etc., you can choose a suitable disinfectant combined with ozone, ultraviolet light, photocatalyst, heating and other disinfection methods , and equipped with corresponding water circulation treatment systems or sand tank filters and other equipment to ensure that the water quality microbial indicators are qualified. The local health and disease control department shall conduct sanitary testing of water quality at least once a month, and hot spring enterprises are encouraged to set up laboratories and staff them with trained and qualified laboratory technicians.
The "Star Classification and Rating of Hot Spring Tourism Enterprises" divides hot spring enterprises from one star to five stars, with five stars being the highest.
Standard 4: Use star ratings to evaluate hot springs Enterprise level
The number of stars indicates the level of the hot spring enterprise. The star rating of hot spring enterprises is divided into five levels, with the lowest being one star and the highest being five stars. The higher the star rating, the higher the grade of the hot spring enterprise. The star logo consists of a map of China, hot spring geographical graphics and a five-pointed star pattern. A five-pointed star represents one star, and so on. Five-star spring quality ingredients should reach concentrations with medical value, and the temperature of the spring (well) water should be ≥50°C, or the bathing pool water temperature should be ≥40°C. Among them, hot springs containing radioactive elements such as radon should be separately tested and certified by a testing agency with relevant professional qualifications, and relevant special inspection reports should be issued. The quality, type, temperature and auxiliary effects of springs (wells) and various bathing pools should be disclosed separately.
