Sleep in a cave and experience Yan 'an, a red tourist destination.
The next day, we got on a minibus, drove out of the ancient city Baqiao and began to walk between the ravines and beams on the Loess Plateau. It's at least four or five hundred kilometers from the west to Yan 'an. In addition, we stopped at Hukou to see the Yellow River Waterfall. When we arrived at our destination, it was already dusk.
Because the sunshine was long and it was still bright, the tour guide made full use of the time and took us to Baota shan first. Yan 'an Pagoda, which used to be seen only from movies, pictorial and paper money, stands in front of us. I climbed to the top of the pagoda in high spirits, regardless of the bumpy fatigue. Overlooking from the fence, Yan' an city has a panoramic view, and the winding Yanhe River is clearly visible with white light. Later, I took a photo of standing in front of the tower and left my smile in front of Yan 'an, a landmark building, which made me stand with Yan 'an forever.
In front of the cave in Yan 'an, the considerate guide asked for our advice and took us to Yang Jialing. Coincidentally, the "cave hotel" where we stayed is next to the caves where great men such as Mao Zedong, Liu Shaoqi, Zhu De and Zhou Enlai lived.
Without exception, I visited these caves one by one I found that the caves of these great men are still intact and really crude. There is almost nothing in the room except a big table by the window and several wooden chairs, and a simple single hard bed in the back room. It is in this difficult environment that the leaders living in poverty led the China Revolution, led millions of soldiers and civilians, and fought the Japanese imperialists and Kuomintang reactionaries armed to the teeth.
The cave where we live is adjacent to the cave where Liu Shaoqi lives. The owner who manages the cave is a simple young couple. Although the furnishings in the cave are monotonous, we still have a sense of intimacy. The snow-white bedding on the pit is spotless, and it also exudes the mixed fragrance of sun exposure and washing. The dinner prepared by the cave owner is pumpkin rice, millet porridge and boiled sweet potato, which makes us feel the hard and optimistic life praised by the Eighth Route Army ballads.
Not far from where we live, there is a tall old pagoda tree with a stone table and several stone piers under it. This is where American journalist and writer anna louise strong interviewed Mao Zedong at 1946. When we look at these cultural relics, it seems that there is another voice with a Hunan accent. That night, we slept in the cave with Yang Jialing and slept in Yan 'an's arms until dawn.
The next day in the Central Auditorium, we visited Zaoyuan, the Central Auditorium and other revolutionary sites. In those days, the Yan 'an Forum on Literature and Art held here, the memorial service for Zhang Side held in the square at the foot of the Western Hills, and the scene of Yan 'an soldiers and civilians rolling up their trouser legs and digging ditches seemed to reappear.
Yan 'an is a historical monument standing on the yellow land. It used to be the hometown of Huangdi, the ancestor of the Chinese nation, and his tribe, and the birthplace of the Chinese nation. In the long historical years, the "Yellow Land Culture" bred with Yan 'an as the center is the cultural essence of the Chinese nation. Since modern times, Yan 'an's brilliant contribution to China's revolutionary process will always be recorded in the history books of China, showing visitors the profound connotation of Yan 'an.
When I bid farewell to Yan 'an, in order to always remember the impression of Yan 'an and the caves I once lived in, I wrote this poem excitedly: "I crossed the Loess Plateau/along the clear Yanhe River/finally walked into the caves/sand dunes built by Yang Jialing Zaoyuan/the leaders and soldiers of that year lived in these caves, strategizing, watching clouds/countless oil lamps/illuminating Yan 'an/.
