As a southerner, I have experienced a world of ice and snow in the north, and personally feel that Jimo Island in Jilin is worth visiting. You can go to rime island first, and then to Xue and Harbin. Of course, winter tourism in Northeast China and Hainan is relatively hot, and the accommodation price is relatively expensive. The cold in the northeast is unimaginable to southerners, and the wind blows like a knife, so we should be fully prepared.

From 199 1, Wu Song Ice and Snow Festival is held every year in Jilin. The rime in Jilin City has long been famous. However, people are most familiar with the Shili Long Dike in the urban area, but few people know that there is a rime island in the lower reaches of Songhua River, which is 35km away from the urban area of Jilin. Rime island is named for its beautiful rime. There are many kinds of trees here. The weeping willows by the river are full of white and glittering frost flowers, and the river wind blows silver. The scenery is wild and beautiful. Rime, commonly known as tree hanging, is one of the four wonders of China. There is a saying that "watch the fog at night, watch the hanging in the morning, and enjoy the falling flowers at noon", which is the process of rime from scratch and from existence to absence. The wonders of rime fascinate countless tourists. The most famous places to watch rime are Jilin, Lushan and Huangshan, especially "the rime in Jilin is wonderful in the world". Rime island is next to Zengtong Island, and Hantun is a good place for photographers to live across the river.

The rime in Jilin is the most magical in the world. Jilin rime, Guilin landscape, Yunnan Shilin and the Three Gorges of the Yangtze River are also called the four natural wonders of China. Rime is not snow or ice, but frost hanging on the branches. Looking along the Songhua River, pine willows are covered with frost and snow, and jade is covered with silver, just like white clouds, which is very spectacular. The best place to see rime in Jilin is rime island in the lower reaches of Songhua River. Most of the people who used to come here were photographers, but now they are more and more familiar to tourists.

Best viewing season

Rime only appears in winter. The best season for viewing rime in Jilin is from the end of June to the end of February, because the formation of rime has its unique environment and conditions.
