How about Tianbao Tourism in Canada?
Montré al Tianbao Travel Agency, please stop charging free scenic spots tickets to China tourists.
During my stay in Montreal in July this year, I felt the enthusiasm and friendliness of the local people. The citizens were of high quality, the city was beautiful, the culture was rich, and everything was great. But some practices of Tianbao Travel Agency in Montreal are very disappointing.
I signed up for a one-day tour of this company. When I paid the fee, I found it was cheaper than official website's quotation. I signed up happily. July 10, one-day tour.
The Mont Morancy Waterfall is about12km away from downtown Quebec, also known as Crystal Waterfall. Waterfall Park is free, but parking fees are charged for going to the parking lot in summer, and the cable car is extra. We didn't take the cable car, but the on-site driver still charged each of us 6 yuan for the "ticket". It was found at the scene that tickets were not accepted here at all.
Call the travel agency for consultation afterwards. The receptionist first said there were tickets. I said there was no ticket to check official website, and there was no ticket to see the scene. The travel agency said it should be a parking fee. I said that I noticed that the car had been parked in the 30-minute free zone without paying the parking fee. He had nothing to say, and then the travel agency changed Mr. Wang, the driver and tour guide who took the tour that day, to answer. Mr. Wang said that this is a rule, and you have to collect tickets for a cursory tour. Everyone is like this, and so is the travel agency here.
In Canada, what impressed me the most is that westerners' habit of doing things according to the rules is one-sided. I didn't expect that the travel agencies run by Chinese in Montreal are still so familiar, and all the free attractions can sell tickets, which reminds me of those low-cost tours in China.
I think it is very reasonable to take part in group tours and pay tour fees and tips. I also think it is reasonable to ask for compulsory participation in at least a few scenic spots every time I go out. At least we have been to all the scenic spots. On that day, the tour guide asked everyone if they wanted to have a buffet, and everyone said no. Later, I found that the time for eating at noon was also saved. I asked why not arrange a lunch break for everyone. The tour guide said there was not enough time. I think the lack of time is understandable and acceptable.
However, it should be unreasonable to report the tour fare at a low price and then make money under various excuses. I don't believe that all travel agencies in China abide by such unspoken rules.
The correct way is to make the service items transparent and the expenses public, so that customers can clearly understand the consumption.
Tianbao Travel Company is located in BLVD W 68 René Levesque H2z1A 2 (next door to Chinatown is HSBC).
