Jingangtai Town is located in Shangcheng County on the border of Henan Province. According to the Reply of Henan Provincial Civil Affairs Department and Xinyang Municipal People's Government on Renaming Sigudun Township in Shangcheng County as Jingangtai Township, Sigudun Township in this county was renamed as Jingangtai Township in August 2007, and No.2015 was approved by the provincial people's government and the Provincial Civil Affairs Department [2014] No.49. After the name change of Jingangtai Township, the county did a good job in changing procedures, unifying seals, plaques and other related work in time, gave full play to the brand effect of Jingangtai, actively publicized it, and strived to improve the popularity of Jingangtai Scenic Area and promote the rapid development of tourism economy. It is a mountainous township, an old district township and a tourist township.
