The Royal Stele is commonly known as the Dragon Head Stele. The stele is 272cm high, 90cm wide, 20cm thick, and weighs 1.3 tons. The head of the stele shows four dragons circling around the seal text "Emperor Ci Yanfa Zen Temple". A conjoined rectangular stone column. This monument was erected in Daishan Lake in the seventh year of Ming Zhengtong (1442), the reign of Emperor Yingzong of Zhuqizhen. It has a history of more than 560 years. At that time, it was erected on the back of a giant stone turtle in front of Yanfa Temple.
