Yanbian tourism is "green", fat, "red" and thin

Our reporter Liu Yunzhu

As we all know, Yanbian is an old revolutionary base. The poet He Jingzhi said, "Mountains and mountains are golden." The poem "Da Lai, a monument to the martyrs in every village" is the best portrayal of the Yanbian people's revolutionary history. However, while red tourism is emerging across the country, the red tourism resources in Yanbian are being wasted and lost in the vast sea of ??Changbai forests.

Red tourism is in the ascendant

Red tourism mainly refers to the commemorative sites and landmarks formed by the people under the leadership of the Communist Party of China during the revolutionary war period as carriers, and with the contents they carry With the revolutionary history, deeds and spirit as the connotation, we organize and receive tourists to carry out themed tourism activities to commemorate, study, visit and tour.

In December 2004, the General Office of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the General Office of the State Council issued the "National Red Tourism Development Plan 2004-2010." Since the release of the outline, red tourism has surged across the country, enriching tourism projects and promoting the development of tourism economies in various places. Yanbian is rich in red tourism resources. However, it is regrettable that red tourism has not received due attention for many years.

According to Xu Yongji, vice president of the Yanbian Historical Society and director of the Modern Cultural Relics Department of the Yanbian Museum, the anti-Japanese armed struggle in Yanbian was the beginning of the anti-Japanese guerrilla war in Northeast China. Under the banner of the Communist Party of China, the anti-Japanese war burned across the land of Yanbian. The Second Northeast Anti-Japanese Army, composed of outstanding sons and daughters of the Yanbian people, fought bravely and skillfully, frightening the Japanese invaders and becoming an important force in the Northeast Anti-Japanese Armed Forces. During the arduous years of the Anti-Japanese War, countless anti-Japanese fighters died heroically, staining the mountains and rivers with blood. The heroic deeds of the martyrs are praised everywhere in Yanbian.

Yang Jingyu, a famous general of the Anti-Japanese Alliance, Yang Lin, chief of staff of the 75th Division of the Chinese Workers' and Peasants' Red Army, Wei Zhengmin, political commissar and deputy commander-in-chief of the First Route Army of the Northeast Anti-Union Army, and Wang Detai, commander of the Second Army of the First Route Army of the Northeast Anti-Union Army. Outstanding figures such as Dong Changrong, Secretary of the Special Committee of the Communist Party of China for East Manchuria, and Chen Hanzhang, Commander-in-Chief of the Third Front Army of the First Route Army of the Anti-Japanese War, all left their fighting footprints in Yanbian. Yanbian has nearly 1,000 revolutionary sites, 523 martyrs' memorial plaques and more than 16,000 revolutionary martyrs. As long as governments at all levels attach great importance to and develop red tourism, it will become an important tourism resource in Yanbian.

Highlight key three-dimensional development

Most of the red tourist attractions in Yanbian are located in deep mountains and dense forests, with inconvenient transportation and difficult to develop. But there are also a number of red scenic spots that are located on key tourist routes, have good traffic conditions, and have great commemorative significance.

Xu Yongji gave an example of the Anti-Japanese War Relics of Antu Dasha River, one of the key cultural relics protection units in Ruzhou. In August 1939, the anti-Japanese allied forces fought fiercely with the Japanese army here for two days and wiped out more than 350 enemies. It was the battle with the largest number of resistance and enemy annihilations within the Yanbian border. To develop this tourist attraction, we can launch a series of activities such as "Be an Anti-Japanese Warrior for a Day" to attract tourists through simulated gunfight games and experience the life of anti-Japanese warriors. It not only satisfies tourists' curiosity, but also arouses their national dignity and patriotism. The battlefields on both sides of the roads leading to Changbai Mountain from various counties and cities include Dunhua’s Hanconngling, Dapuchaihe, and Helong’s “Thirteen Warriors of Yulang Village” battles.

In view of the shortcomings of simplistic and stylized development methods in many red tourist destinations (such as static, flat text and picture-based introductions), Xu Yongji suggested that Yanbian’s red tourism must be innovatively developed and displayed. Means should highlight the characteristics of the Anti-League, develop and produce Anti-League animations and game software, change the past habit of waiting for guests to come, and have weak market awareness, enhance publicity and promotion awareness, and use local material entities (revolutionary sites, old sites, cultural relics) etc.) and spiritual (revolutionary-themed literature, drama, film and television arts, etc.) red tourism resources are developed and utilized three-dimensionally to create a distinct and full image of a red tourist destination.

There is a long way to go and the prospects are promising

According to the goals set in the outline, by 2010, the national red tourism comprehensive income will reach 100 billion yuan, the number of direct employment will reach 2 million, and the number of indirect employment will reach 2 million. Reached 10 million people. If the red scenic spots in Yanbian are vigorously developed and opened according to this plan, the income and employment rate will be considerable.

But we should also see that the task of developing red tourism in Yanbian is very arduous. It cannot be accomplished overnight and will encounter many difficulties and problems. The development of red tourism must first receive great attention from governments at all levels. Because Yanbian’s red tourist attractions need to be developed, how to organically integrate them with Yanbian’s forest tourism, border tourism, folk tourism and historical heritage and cultural tourism requires the government to take the lead in organizing early investment, development, investment and centralized publicity. The second is to carry out market-oriented operations, package and plan the red tourist attractions in Yanbian, widely attract domestic and foreign funds, strengthen the construction of hardware facilities and supporting entertainment facilities at the attractions, seek benefits from the market, and achieve a double harvest of material and spiritual civilization.

After the National Day Golden Week, tourism in Yanbian has begun to enter the off-season, but it is a good time to plan travel for next year. Developing red tourism is a comprehensive social project that promotes the national spirit, strengthens the ideological and moral construction of citizens, and promotes the economic development of old revolutionary areas. It is a good strategy that benefits the country and the people.

If the red tourist attractions in Yanbian are developed, I believe that in the near future, Yanbian will not only be a green tourist attraction that people love, but also a red tourist attraction that people want to live in
