Brief introduction of Tongli ancient town

Tongli Town, one of the six ancient towns in the south of the Yangtze River, was originally named "Futu", which was changed to Tongli in the early Tang Dynasty and Tongli in the Song Dynasty. Founded in the Song Dynasty, it has a history of over 20 15 years and is an ancient cultural town in China.

Tongli, with an area of 33 hectares, is surrounded by five lakes and connected by 49 bridges. The reticulated river divides the town into seven islands. Famous scenic spots: "One Garden" (Retreat Garden), "Two Halls" (Jiayin Hall and Chongben Hall) and "Three Bridges" (Taiping Bridge, Geely Bridge and Changqing Bridge).

Zheng Chun Water Town, Old Jiangnan "is this beautiful and quaint town-Tongli. Here, every family is close to the water, and every household is connected by boats. There are many small bridges in the water town, and people try their best to pillow the river, the bridge crosses the city, and the river port enters the lake field. Therefore, it is called "Little Venice of the East". It is said that Tongli has more than three places, more water, more bridges and more literati. Among them, it is worth mentioning that the most famous private garden here, Tuisi Garden, is the only world cultural heritage of the ancient town in the south of the Yangtze River. The whole yard is unpretentious, quiet and elegant, but it has a comfortable sense of security. Tongli ancient town is not big. You can watch the sunshine and mist of the ancient town in the morning, watch the pink sunset across the sky on the shore, enjoy the tranquility and comfort of the ancient town at night and find your own poetry.

1. About the ticket: 100 yuan (valid within 2 days), Tongli Night Tour (only including the Garden of Retreat) in 50 yuan.

2. Opening hours: 7:30~ 17:30 for day tours and 0/8: 30 ~ 21:30 for night tours.

3. Masterpieces of framing: Bao Father and Son, Dream of Red Mansions, Lin Chong, Home, Spring, Autumn, Dong Xiaowan, Joke, Half Life, One Man's Love, Favorite, Drama Stage and Romantic Moon.

4. Local characteristics: champion's hoof, shrimp cake, three-silk spring rolls, sesame oil eel paste, 100-fruit honey cake, Cibao cake, green ball, Fujian cake, lard rice cake, chicken rice head, big meat steamed bread, fermented rice cake, malt cake and small smoked fish.

5. Transportation:

① There are shuttle buses to Tongli at Suzhou Railway Station, Suzhou South Bus Station and Suzhou Wuxian Bus Station, and there are shuttle buses to Tongli at Suzhou Tourism Distribution Center (including tickets).

② Although there are direct flights from Shanghai to Tongli, the shuttle bus time is not intensive. If starting from Shanghai, it is suggested to buy a bus ticket from Shanghai to Suzhou (high-speed train), and then buy it directly from the tourist distribution center of Suzhou Railway Station.
